On August 13, 2025, our Department of Computer Science (PG), Kristu Jayanti University, organised an awareness program titled “Say No to Ragging” at the SKE Auditorium, PG Block. We conducted the session for all second-year postgraduate students from the MCA and M.Sc. Programs. Computer Science, and M.Sc. Data Science, and I was delighted to see more than 310 students actively participate.
We began the session by highlighting the importance of maintaining a ragging-free campus. The resource person explained the UGC regulations and our university’s zero-tolerance policy, emphasising how ragging can affect a student’s legal, psychological, and academic well-being.
Through interactive discussions and real-life examples, we encouraged students to reflect on the importance of empathy, inclusion, and respect. Many students came forward to share their thoughts and pledged to uphold the anti-ragging code of conduct.
The feedback we received was heartening — students found the session impactful and eye-opening, and many appreciated how it strengthened their understanding of responsible conduct and campus harmony. The program honestly reminded us that a safe learning space begins with kindness and respect.
