Excelsior 2024: A Journey of Growth and Triumph

"The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall - Nelson Mandela." My journey in the HR event at Excelsior 2024 was a testament to the truth of this quote.
Excelsior is a premier annual event hosted by our college that offers students a unique platform to explore their career aspirations and gain valuable hands-on experience. This multifaceted event showcases various competitions, including HR, Best Manager, Mock Stock, Event Management, Finance, Marketing, and more. By participating in these events, students can delve into different fields and discover their passions while honing essential skills for future success.
My Experience in Excelsior. Human resources always fascinated me, and participating in the HR event at Excelsior 2024 was a dream come true. The journey began with a setback and ended with a resounding victory.
My first experience with the HR event was in my freshman year, and unfortunately, I didn't make it past the finals. The disappointment was palpable, but I refused to let it define me. I knew that failure was just a stepping stone, and I was determined to learn from my mistakes and return stronger.
Fast forward to Excelsior 2024, and I once again stood before the HR event judges. This time, however, I was armed with a renewed sense of determination and a wealth of experience. I applied the lessons I had learned from my previous attempt and gave it my all. To my immense joy, my efforts paid off, and I was awarded the first prize in the HR event.
The experience has honed my problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and leadership skills and instilled in me a deep sense of resilience; one of the most valuable aspects of the HR event was the opportunity to be interviewed by a real HR professional. This experience gave me a glimpse into the real world of human resources and helped me understand the expectations and skills required for a successful career.
This event was valuable in fostering meaningful relationships, enhancing my leadership skills, and exploring different aspects of my identity. They've significantly contributed to my personal growth and development. I am incredibly grateful to Kristu Jayanti College for this fantastic opportunity. Excelsior 2024 has been a transformative experience for me.
