The Talent Transformation Team, in collaboration with the Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations (CECR), consistently introduces innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing employability and guiding students in selecting the right career paths.
In an effort to forge stronger ties with the corporate sector and facilitate students' placements in their desired companies, the centre initiated the Employability Lecture Series - TRANSCEND, guided by the motto "enter, stay in, and progress."
The Objectives of TRANSCEND Include:
1. C2C Engagement: Fostering Connect-to-Corporate engagement, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
2. Focus on Employability Skills for a Specific Audience: Tailoring employability skills training to cater to the unique needs of specific student groups.
3. Insights from Different Verticals: Inviting companies from diverse sectors to share insights about Specific Competencies, encompassing Knowledge, Skills, Behaviors, and Attitude.
4. Empowered Lectures: Delivering lectures that empower students with practical knowledge and skills, enabling them to excel in their chosen career paths.
Through TRANSCEND, the Talent Transformation Team and CECR are paving the way for students to enter the workforce, thrive in their roles, and advance in their careers, thereby ensuring a seamless transition from education to employment.
As the CECR celebrates its commitment to student empowerment, the Transcend – Employability Lecture Series for 2024-25 emphasizes future-readiness and the integration of technology in employability skills. With a focus on sustainability, innovation, and leadership, the series continues to shape students into adaptable professionals poised for success in their chosen fields.
The academic year 2023-24 witnessed another successful edition of the Transcend – Employability Lecture Series, prioritizing skill-building in areas like digital fluency, teamwork, and ethical decision-making. The program’s holistic approach encouraged students to understand the nuances of professional expectations and equipped them to tackle challenges in the evolving workplace.
During the academic year 2022-23, the Transcend – Employability Lecture Series set a benchmark by focusing on fostering emotional intelligence, effective communication, and problem-solving capabilities among students. The series inspired students to aim high and instilled confidence in their ability to contribute meaningfully to the corporate ecosystem.
The Transcend – Employability Lecture Series for the year 2021-22 was an enriching journey for students, emphasizing resilience, leadership, and innovation. Industry experts shared insights on navigating dynamic work environments and aligning individual growth with organizational goals. The program inspired students to adopt a proactive approach to career planning and skill development.
The Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations (CECR) continued its tradition of fostering career readiness among students through Transcend – Employability Lecture Series. The series aimed to empower students with vital employability skills such as self-management, critical thinking, and adaptability. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the sessions seamlessly transitioned to online platforms, ensuring uninterrupted learning and professional growth.
The Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations (CECR) conducted Transcend – Employability Lecture Series for the year 2019-20 to enhance the employability skills of the students. For the Year 2019-20, E&Y kick started the employability lecture series on 30th July 2020 and all UG students were part of the same. Officials from 6 top notch companies interacted with the students through the series. Transcend focuses on Self-Management, Adaptability and Critical Thinking areas which nurture the minds of the students towards the path of career selection.

The Transcend 2018 – 19 aims to provide assistance to students’ independent learning. There were 20 top most leading companies like Morgan Stanley, ICICI, Deloitte, HP, Amazon and others who addressed students from UG & PG ( 1125 and 511 respectively). The Manager of Deloitte stressed “Don't hesitate to give up the better to gain the best.” The agenda was to encourage a result-oriented way of working, situational awareness and assertiveness.
Beneficiaries who attended the session on 02.08.2018 resolved to work hard and groom themselves well in the areas of self-development and integrity.

The Centre for Employability and Corporate Relations, work towards career planning, providing motivational support and fostering teamwork. The target audience were from M.Com & MCA with the strength of 210 and final year students from BCA & B.Sc. Companies like IBM, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant and Accenture etc., were available this year to address the students. The number of beneficiaries from UG was 800. The Transcend conducted on 25.11.2017 highlighted the competency skills that ensured that the students develop goals and a plan to help them fulfill the business’ mission.

The emphasis of Transcend conducted on 20/10/2016 was on Conceptual thinking, Persuasiveness and Decisiveness. Most of the leading companies like EY, Deloitte, and KPMG & GT and many more were part of the transcend for the year 2016-2017, where they encouraged the students across UG & PG ( 725 and 188 respectively). One of the HR members from KPMG quoted “You will be exceptional only a few times, but you can be excellent at all times.” There were about 12 employability lecture series from four big companies which resulted in 80% of the beneficiaries determined about their career goal.

Centre for Placement and Corporate Relations of Kristu Jayanti College always strive hard to enhance the employability skills of the students. One such initiative is the Transcend – Employability Lecture Series. For the year 2015-16, EY kick started the employability lecture series on 23rd February, 2016. Students from B.Com, BBA, and BA were a part of the session. 450 students benefited from the session. Officials from 8 top notch companies interacted with the students through the series. Transcend focuses on Self-Management, Adaptability and Critical Thinking areas which nurture the minds of the students towards the path of career selection.
