Applications are invited for the Kristu Jayanti Scholarship Scheme (KJSS). KJSS was instituted to motivate and encourage the students who are outstanding in academics, co-curricular & extra-curricular activities, to help the students who are financially backward and to provide financial assistance to Divyangjan (differently abled) students. There are four categories under KJSS.

 
  • Jayantian Upliftment Scholarship (JUS)
  • Jayantian Achievement Scholarship (JAS)
  • Jayantian Talent Scholarship (JTS)
  • Jayantian Determination Scholarship (JDS)
 

We invite students to read the guidelines, clarify the eligibility conditions and apply for the scholarship. Last date to apply is 20th January - 2023.

Students can apply for multiple scholarship schemes. 

 

Jayantian Upliftment Scholarship is intended to provide financial support to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Eligibility and norms of JUS:
1. This scholarship shall be provided to financially disadvantaged students.
2. The annual family income of the applicant should be INR 2,00,000 or less.
3. Applicants should have secured a minimum of 60% of marks in the previous two semesters (aggregate of formative and summative assessment) and should have passed all the courses.
4. Applicants should have a minimum of 85% attendance in the two previous semesters.
5. A committee will scrutinize the applications after an interview where the applicant shall justify the need for the scholarship.
6. Applicants have to produce a certificate pertaining to proof of income given by the local civic authority.
7. The committee will make a visit to the student’s home/ or will make video call if required to ensure that the conditions stated by the applicant are genuine.

Jayantian Achievement Scholarship is instituted to recognize the students with merit and excellence in academics.

Eligibility and norms of JAS:
1. This scholarship shall exclusively be awarded to students who excel in academics.
2. Students' academic excellence shall be evaluated each semester on a continuous basis.
3. Students should have a minimum of 85% attendance in the previous two semesters
4. BA/ B.Sc.(CSMS/CSME/PMCS/PME/MSE) students shall secure a minimum 75% of marks and B.Com./BBA/B.Sc. (Life Science/Forensic Science)/BCA students shall secure a minimum of 80% marks (aggregate of CIA & End Semester Examinations) in order to be eligible for JAS.
5. All the eligible students will undergo a selection on a pro-data basis and then will be short-listed.

Jayantian Talent Scholarship is established to recognize a student’s exemplary performance in co-curricular field.

Eligibility and norms of JTS:
1. This scholarship shall be provided to encourage students who excel in co-curricular activities (literary, fine arts, theatre, music, dance, sports, games and any other unique activity) during the period of study at the college.
2. Students should have a minimum of 85% attendance in each course in the previous two semesters of the academic year.
3. Students should secure a minimum of 60% marks (aggregate of formative & summative assessments) and should have passed all the courses.
4. Students should have represented the University in sports or cultural events securing 1st or 2nd or 3rd place at South Zone or National Level.
5. Students should have represented the State in sports or cultural events and organized by the Government Agency and securing 1st or 2nd or 3rd place.
6. Only the achievement of the current academic year shall be claimed by the applicant/shall be considered for the award of the grant.
7. This scholarship application can be submitted till the end of the academic year.

Jayantian Determination Scholarship is instituted to provide financial assistance to Divyangjan students.

Eligibility and norms of JDS:
1. This scholarship shall be provided to Divyangjan students with physical disabilities.
2. Applicants have to produce a certificate/document issued by a competent government/medical authority authorizing the physical disability.
3. Applicants should have secured a minimum of 50% marks in previous two semesters (aggregate of formative and summative assessment) and should have passed all the courses.
4. Applicants should have a minimum of 75% attendance in the previous two semesters.

Documents required to be submitted along with the application

  • Marks Card of previous semesters.
  • Previous and current semester attendance reports.
  • For Jayantian Upliftment Scholarship:  Proof of income (Form 16A/income certificate from government authority/salary slip, etc.)
  • For Jayantian Talent Scholarship and Jayantian Determination Scholarship: Copies of certificates

If any deserving student is unable to fulfil the eligibility criteria due to genuine, valid reasons they may contact the Vice Principal and obtain permission to apply.
