Kristu Jayanti Scholarship Scheme Categories:
1. Jayantian Achievement Scholarship (JAS) for excellence in academics.
2. Jayantians Talent Scholarship (JTS) for excellence in co-curricular and extra curriculum activities.
3. Jayantian Upliftment Scholarship (JUS) for economically and socially disadvantaged students.
4. Jayantian Determination Scholarship (JDS) for Divyangjan Students.
5. Margadarshak Scholarship Scheme

1. Jayantian Achievement Scholarship (JAS)
Jayantian Achievement Scholarship is established to recognize merit and excellence in academics. Eligibility and norms of JAS:
1. This scholarship shall exclusively be awarded to students who excel in academics.
2. Students' academic excellence shall be evaluated each semester continuously.
3. Students should have a minimum of 85% of attendance in each course in the semester(s).
4. B.Com./BBA/ BA/ B.Sc. (CSMS/CSME/PMCS/PME/MSE) students shall secure a minimum of 75% of marks and B.Sc. (Life Science/Forensic Science)/BCA students shall secure a minimum of 80% marks (aggregate of CIA & End Semester Examinations) to be eligible for JAS.
5. The scholarship for each eligible student shall be Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only).

2. Jayantian Talent Scholarship (JTS)
Jayantian Talent Scholarship is established to recognize exemplary performance in co-curricular and extracurricular fields.
1. This scholarship shall be provided to encourage students who excel in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities (literary, fine arts, theatre, music, dance, sports, games, and any other unique achievement) during the period of study at the college.
2. Students should have a minimum of 85% of attendance in each course in the immediate semester(s) of the academic year.
3. Students should secure a minimum of 60% of marks (aggregate of CIA & End Semester Examinations) and should have passed all the courses.
4. Students should have represented the college and won the first prize at the University level sports and games event / 1st or 2nd or 3rd place in State Level or National Government Agency organized sports and games competitions.
5. Students should have represented the college and won 1st or 2nd or 3rd place at the State level or National Level Literary and Cultural competitions organized by a Government Agency.
6. Only the achievement of the current academic year shall be claimed by the applicant/shall be considered for the award of the grant.
7. Each eligible student shall be awarded Rs. 10,000/-

3. Jayantian Upliftment Sebolarship (JUS)
Jayantian Upliftment Scholarship shall be established to provide financial support to students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
Eligibility and norms of JUS:
1. This scholarship shall be provided to the financially disadvantaged students.
2. The annual family income of the applicant should be equal to or less than rupees two lakh. ( Revised 2022-23)
3. Applicants should have secured a minimum of 60% of marks (aggregate of CIA & End
Semester Examinations) and should have passed in all the courses.
4. Applicants should have a minimum of 85% of attendance in each course in the previous Semester.
5. The committee shall scrutinize the application after an interview where the applicant shall justify the need for the scholarship.
6. Applicants have to produce a certificate pertaining to proof of income given by the local civil authority.
7. Each eligible student shall be awarded Rs. 10,000/-.

4. Jayantian Determination Scholarship (JDS)
Jayantian Determination Scholarship shall be established to provide financial assistance to Divyangjan students.
Eligibility and norms of JDS:
1. This scholarship shall be provided to all categories of Diyyangjan students.
2. Applicants have to produce a certificate/document issued by a competent authority
3. Pertaining to disability.
4. Each eligible student shall be awarded Rs.20,000/-

Process
1. Inviting applications for different categories of Institutional scholarship.
• Circulate notifications through the KJC app and KJC mail to students.
• Facilitate the application process specified for various categories.

2. Scrutiny of application.
• Level 1 - Class teacher. (Exclusively for JUS).
• Level 2 - Core Committee.

3. Recommendation of award of scholarship to principal/authority.
• Submit the list of students with supporting documents.

4. Sanction and disbursement of the scholarship.
• In consent with financial administrator. The finance section shall process the approved sanction of scholarships and ensure the timely disbursement of the grant to the recipients.
• The details of the scholarship shall be accounted for periodically and duly audited.
• Check/verify the bank account of students.
• Collect acknowledgment letter.

5. Redressal of grievance.
V. Criteria for the interview
1. The scholarship shall be provided to financially disadvantaged students.
• The annual family income of the applicant should be equal to or less than two lakhs.
• Verify Income proof (Form 16A/income certificate from government authority/salary slips, etc.) uploaded. Cross verify with the student, the average family income and economic status (Employment of parents and their income, Number of earning members in the family and any other sources of income)
2. Parents- Preference can be given to single parent or no parents or parents with illness.
3. General behaviour of the student.
4. Housing facilities.
5. No of Dependents.

VI. General Guidelines for KJSS
1. Students who satisfy the stipulated conditions of the schemes are eligible to apply for KJSS with relevant documents within the due date specified by the committee.
2. The committee shall scrutinize the applications and recommend eligible recipients of the scholarship to the Principal.
3. KJSS applies only to undergraduate students.
4. The scholarships shall not be disbursed if there are no eligible applicants.
5. The scholarships shall be provided at the end of the academic year.
6. Students who would qualify under JUS are also eligible to apply for scholarships under other categories.
7. The decision of the committee in identifying the beneficiaries shall be final.
8. The approval of sanctions shall be at the discretion of the Principal.
9. The fulfillment of minimum conditions of eligibility for the scholarship does not automatically imply/guarantee the award of the scholarship.

5. Margadarshak Scholarship Scheme
Margadarshak Scholarship Scheme (MSS) is an initiative by the staff members of Kristu Jayanti University, Bengaluru to support the aspiring learners of undergraduate programmes at Kristu Jayanti University, Bengaluru.

Features
1. This initiative is to support the deserving learners from the less privileged and the economically weaker sections of the society.
2. The scholarship shall enable the learner to successfully complete the undergraduate programme without financial constraints.
3. All teaching and administrative staff shall contribute voluntarily towards the scholarship
4. The contribution shall be minimum of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred)
5. A donor may contribute once or many times in a year
6. A register will be maintained with the Financial Administrator to record the contribution(s) made by the staff members.

8. The Margadarshak Scholarship Committee (MSC), comprising of the Financial Administrator, Student Welfare Officer, Deans, Coordinator of the Student Welfare and Scholarship Committee shall finalise the beneficiaries based on set criteria for the scholarship.
9. The MSC shall manage the accounts, disbursement of the scholarship and submit the annual report to the Chief Financial Officer and the same shall be made available to the staff members on demand.
10. The number of beneficiaries will be decided according to the fund available at the time of finalising the beneficiaries.
11. The MSC shall strive to constitute a minimum of ten scholarships in a year by way of promoting the scheme among the staff members.
12. The scholarship support will be for the period of one academic year and continuation of the support for the successive academic year will depend on the availability of funds.
13. The scholarship will be discontinued if the beneficiary does not get a pass class in any one course.
14. The scholarship will be discontinued if the beneficiary is receiving financial support other than MSS

Criteria
1. Students whose family income is 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh) per annum or less only will come under the purview of the scholarship.
2. The possible beneficiaries shall be identified by teaching staff or administrative staff in consultation with HoD / Programme Coordinator and in turn recommend to the MSC.
3. MSC shall finalise the list of beneficiaries in a fair and transparent manner, case by case, based on analysis of the following factors like economic condition of the student, medical issues (Student or Parent), passion for learning, regularity, attendance and discipline.

Activities Conducted

Online Orientation on Reliance Foundation Scholarship UG and PG
Date: 15 September 2025
Committee organized an online interactive session with Reliance Foundation to fosus on the eligibility and other criteria’s to apply for the Reliance Foundation Scholarship for both UG and PG Programmes.

Student secretaries Mr. Ashith Gouda and Ms. Nisha welcome the resource person of the day Ms. Sneha Dolas. The session highlighted the criteria for applying UG and PG Scholarships and also includes the selection process. Many students shared the question in the chat box and the resource person answered all the queries.


Orientation on Scholarship for I Year BBA Students
Date: 15 September 2025
School of Business and Management organized orientation on Various Scholarship available across India. Mr. Manjunath S, Faculty has a rich experience in the field of Scholarship explained about the various Private and Government scholarships. He stressed how important is to apply various scholarships and also narrated how few students successfully got the scholarship last year. Overall it was an interactive session and Resource person answered all the questions raised by the students.


Online Orientation on Reliance Foundation Scholarship
Date: 25 August 2025
Reliance Foundation UG and PG Scholarship session is organizing orientation session on 25th August 2025 from 11 AM to 12 NOON in Microsoft meeting. The session was attended by the various institution representatives across India. The resource persons highlighted the eligibility criteria including basic and academic criteria for applying UG and PG Scholarships. The session also highlighted the application and selection process. Lot of inputs has given to the representatives to encourage students to apply for the scholarship. This orientation sets the stage for a fulfilling and impactful journey with the Reliance Foundation.
