Joy to the world: A lifelong Christmas memory

Kristu Jayanti College Choir in association with LCA organized an enthralling Christmas show Once upon a Tune - Joy to the World for the Jayantians on 19 December, 2018 at SKE Auditorium. The stage was set up with bright lights, stars and snowflakes hanging about, a snowman chilling on one side and a spiral tree made of lights that screamed Christmas on the other. Joy to the World was a modern Christmas musical performance that had a story line with the purest ending.
The Christmas show Joy to the World was really great and I am sure, all the Jayantians will cherish this memory forever. The entire campus was decorated with colorful stars and lights. The choir practices and the fragrance of plum cakes set us all in the celebration mood well in advance. “We are grateful to Kristu Jayanti College for a grand celebration and spreading joy among all of us,” said Jenna, a Postgraduate student.
The Choir Master Prujeeth Joshua, along with the choir and the musicians performed a melody of ten songs. Some of them were Deck the Halls, Angels we have heard, Hark the Herald, Silent Night, and even peppy numbers like God you are Good and Joy to the world.
The musical drama had James the protagonist, Michael and Gabrielle as sassy angels; and even Jesus Christ in a black leather jacket showing James the righteous way. Sadness, love, humor and joy flowed through the audience as they watched the captivating and entertaining program.
The show was also telecast LIVE on Kristu Jayanti College's website for the parents and alumni to watch.
