Vanijyadarpan, the business model-making competition organized by the Department of Commerce (UG), Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), was a truly enriching and inspiring experience—especially as it marked our very first participation during our first year.
Our team was assigned the theme “Different Sources of Renewable Energy”, which challenged us to creatively showcase a variety of sustainable energy sources, including solar, wind, biogas, and nuclear power. What made our project truly distinctive was the requirement to construct the entire model using only reusable materials strictly adhering to the competition’s guidelines.
From crafting wind turbines to building eco-friendly miniature houses, every element of our model was thoughtfully designed and sustainably executed. The journey from concept to completion involved intense collaboration, late-night planning, and hands-on construction. Through this collective effort, we aimed to create a model that was functional, charismatic, and visually compelling.
Beyond the technical aspects, Vanijyadarpan taught us valuable lessons about the importance of sustainability in business. As aspiring entrepreneurs, we learned that success in the business world should go hand in hand with environmental responsibility. A sustainable mindset benefits the planet and creates lasting value for communities and enterprises.
Our team—Yashwant R, Dilip Kumar, Akshay Barnabas, and Lorenzo Josiah W Kharbuli—takes immense pride in this achievement. Participating in Vanijyadarpan broadened our understanding of businesses' operations and deepened our appreciation for innovation and teamwork.
We are sincerely grateful for the opportunity, as it helped us develop hard and soft skills that will undoubtedly shape our professional journeys ahead. Vanijyadarpan was not just a competition; it was a stepping stone toward future growth, and we look forward to contributing to many more such events in the years to come.
