One regular day, while on my daily route to work, I noticed a newly opened juice vendor’s stall. What caught my attention was not the stall itself, but how it was kept — tastefully decorated with fresh flowers and the surrounding area neatly swept.
The next morning, as I passed by, I noticed that the flowers had been replaced with fresh ones. Each morning, the flowers changed, displaying different varieties, such as roses, chrysanthemums, and others. It was remarkable to see a small vendor investing in fresh flowers every day despite his modest income. This act clearly demonstrated his passion and dedication to his work. As the days went by, this became a sight I looked forward to each morning. The stall became more welcoming with the addition of a couple of potted plants; it always retained the same freshness. His positive spirit seemed to spread through the sincerity evident in his endeavour.
It has been two years since I first noticed him, and his commitment to his work remains unchanged. This humble juice vendor unknowingly delivers an important message: passion for work is not dependent on the scale of the job but on the interest we nurture and the personal touch we bring to it. Though it may be part of his routine, he may not realise that he inspires others with his dedication.
Life around us is full of such silent inspirations. A genuine effort and joy in work create a beauty that spreads like an unseen fragrance, allowing everyone to experience it.
