Transformative Journey: My Pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce at Kristu Jayanti College

Article by Deon Johnson, 21COLE16, V Semester B.Com, Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous)

My name is Deon Johnson, and I am studying Bachelor of Commerce in Logistics and Supply Chain Management at Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous).

My experience at Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous) has significantly changed me. This adventure has afforded me exceptional experiences and possibilities. In my initial days, I lacked self-confidence and skills, and I experienced considerable unease when confronted with the external realm beyond the confines of the educational institution. My transformative journey started in the second semester when the Department granted me the opportunity to unlock my potential and enhance my abilities through various in-class activities.

The Department of Commerce (UG) has served as my academic trajectory and the foundation of my achievements. The faculty members from the Department have served as exceptional mentors, providing guidance and support that has profoundly influenced my life. The journey from being a shy and lacking self-assurance student with limited abilities to attaining the Student Secretary of the Department of Commerce has been an exceptional endeavour.

Our classrooms have served as not only centres of education but also as catalysts for many opportunities for each student. The knowledge acquired, the enjoyment experienced, and the recollections formed will forever be cherished in my heart. The campus has provided a flourishing environment for personal development and enhancement outside the classroom. Participating in extracurricular activities enabled me to establish significant relationships, enhance my leadership skills, and discover other aspects of my identity. These extracurricular experiences have substantially transformed my self-assurance, abilities, and overall growth.

The faculty members in the Department are widely acknowledged for their accessibility, passion, and eagerness to assist. The staff has frequently provided a hospitable and cosy atmosphere, like a secondary abode.

I wish to extend my sincere appreciation to the Fathers, Administrative staff, Faculty members, and my friends for their steadfast support and concern throughout my stay at Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous). This encounter has been genuinely extraordinary and has brought about significant changes.
