International Universal Health Coverage Day

One of the biggest fundamental and vital aspects of a human being's life is their health. In addition to the physical ratio, the comprehensive quality of well-being, comprising mental health, is also taken into account. Modern humans are extremely time-constrained individuals that place minimal attention on their health and safety, which has had a significant adverse impact on our society.

The 12th of December is designated each year as International Universal Health Coverage Day. The purpose of the day is to raise awareness of how crucial it is to create reliable, world-class healthcare systems on a global scale in order to protect nations. The United Nations claims that the emphasis of this year's theme, "Build the world we want: A healthy future for all," is on the necessity of justice, tolerance, healthy environments, investments, and accountability in order to create effective health systems. To commemorate UHC Day, WHO is releasing two new tools: one to assist governments in designing and delivering the best service coverage packages for their populations, and the other to give people trustworthy information to support the decisions they make on a daily basis to safeguard their health and wellbeing.

The physical and mental health of the students, faculty, and staff at Kristu Jayanti College in Bengaluru has been given primary importance. For academic members and non-teaching employees, the institution has been providing free health examinations in conjunction with neighbourhood clinics and a medical insurance programme. This is increasingly important than ever for academic institutions to be vigilant about the settings and classrooms in light of the widespread Covid-19 outbreak. The environment and students at Kristu Jayanti College have received a great deal of special consideration and care.

A healthy community will be fostered by individuals with good dispositions. Each individual ought to take care of their personal hygiene as the foundation of a healthy lifestyle. The state of one's finances, emotions, and spirituality all affect overall health. It has been discovered that elements like safe drinking water, shelter, and safe communities and streets all contribute to pretty good wellness. An individual's general health will be impacted by discomfort in any of these.
