Vezeto was an invaluable inter-domain business fest for first-year students stepping into business studies. The energy, excitement, and opportunities it created for participants were genuinely inspiring.
Vezeto was not only a business fest, and it wasn't just about winning; it was a medium to learn. Each round pushed participants to step out of their comfort zones, think creatively and critically. The fest emphasized the value of teamwork and camaraderie. Vezeto encouraged learning and growth, shaping participants as individuals and budding business professionals.
Vezeto created a greater awareness about business management, from developing innovative new ideas to navigating through crises. Vezeto covered it with three dynamic events: Domain Specific Event, Best Manager Event and Business Quiz.
The fest started with a Domain-Specific event, where students were grouped according to their chosen specializations and given challenges according to their specific domains, ranging from Business Analytics, Aviation Management, AI & Data Science, FinTech & Banking, Branding & Advertising and International Business.
Participants were introduced to the obstacles to starting a business in the first round, particularly in conflict-affected regions. It was an experience that highlighted the social, political and economic hurdles entrepreneurs face in unstable environments.
In the second round, competitors gained more profound insights into how companies and countries operate internally and the negotiations, strategic planning, and collaborative efforts required to establish and sustain international business. This round showed the importance of adaptability and cross-cultural understanding in global commerce.
The final round was a test of spontaneity and strategic thinking, as the finalists were placed in simulated conflict zones and asked to give a business solution on the spot. It challenged them to think beyond profit margins and focus on customer-centred approaches, emphasizing that successful businesses are built not just on financial gain, but on empathy, value creation, and long-term trust.
Conversely, the Best Manager Competition took place simultaneously, a high-energy event far beyond textbook knowledge. It is designed to identify students who understand the business world, can think differently, adapt under pressure, and lead clearly. It wasn't just a test of facts; it was a test of mindset and instinct.
The contest unfolds over three intense rounds, each crafted to push participants to think beyond their capabilities.
This round starts with multiple-choice questions, where participants are tested on corporate concepts, current affairs, stock market fundamentals, currency symbols, and general business knowledge. It was tailored specifically for students in the field of management to develop quick thinking, sharp recall, and a solid understanding of the business landscape.
Round two takes a creative twist. Candidates are asked to debate with themselves, presenting both sides of a socially relevant issue. This round isn't just about having an opinion; it's about demonstrating the ability to see multiple perspectives, think critically, and communicate ideas clearly and precisely. It's an actual test of emotional intelligence and persuasive skill.
The final round is where theory meets reality. Finalists are placed in real-life corporate scenarios ranging from ethical dilemmas and leadership crises to decision-making under pressure. They must analyze the situation, make a call, and explain their reasoning as if they are already sitting in the manager's chair. This round reveals who can lead with integrity, insight, and confidence in unpredictable environments.
Alongside the Domain-Specific and Best Manager events, the fest featured another engaging event, the Business Quiz. The business quiz tests students with rapid, strategic questions from the business landscape and general knowledge. The business quiz continued for three rounds. Each round grew progressively harder, culminating in the final round where only one winner emerged. In the Business quiz, students tackled questions in pairs, showcasing true partnership and camaraderie.
The fest brought together students from different domains, building a sense of healthy competition. For many of us, it was our first chance to apply classroom concepts to real challenges and make the best of it.
This opportunity was made possible through the constant guidance and encouragement of faculty members and coordinators, whose efforts ensured the fest was a memorable and inspiring experience. A Special recognition goes to the peers and participants whose active involvement, enthusiasm, and healthy competitive spirit turned the fest into a true celebration of learning and growth. Without the collective effort of everyone involved, this journey would not have been as impactful as it was.
