Alumni Lecture Series - Expert Talk on Professional Ethics and Work Experience Insights

The Department of Computer Science at Kristu Jayanti University organized an Alumni Expert Series session titled “Expert Talk on Professional Ethics and Work Experience Insights” on 27th September 2025. The resource person for the session was Mr. Ahmed Shariff, Senior Operations Analyst at Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited, Bangalore, and an alumnus of the BCA 2015–18 batch. The session was conducted exclusively for the II Year BCA General and IoT students to provide them with valuable insights into professional conduct and workplace experiences.
Mr. Shariff highlighted the importance of professional ethics in building a successful career and shared practical knowledge from his own journey in the IT industry. The interactive session encouraged student participation, bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world applications, and inspired students to uphold ethical values while preparing for future professional challenges.
Alumni Lecture Series – Hands on training on Power BI

The Department of Computer Science at Kristu Jayanti University organized an Alumni Expert Series session titled “Hands-on Training on Power BI” on 30th August 2025. The resource person for the session was Mr. Faridh Nowfal, a consultant at Dev3tech, Bangalore and an alumnus of the BCA 2015–18 batch. The session was conducted exclusively for the final-year BCA Analytics and B.Sc. Data Science students to provide them with practical exposure to Power BI, one of the most in-demand business intelligence tools in the industry today.
During the session, Mr. Nowfal shared real-time demonstrations on how to use Power BI for data visualization and reporting. He also highlighted its role in decision-making processes within organizations. Drawing from his own professional journey, he guided students on how to build industry-relevant skills and apply theoretical knowledge to solve real-world data problems. The interactive session encouraged student participation and proved to be a valuable learning experience, equipping them with key insights into the world of data analytics and business intelligence..
