The trainer for 100 hours training session, Mr.Rakoth Kandan, explained about mastering the basics in AI that can help to jump-start the career and get ready to dive deeper into the other technical opportunities Azure offers. Artificial intelligence (AI) opens doors into possibilities that might have seemed like science fiction only yesterday. Using AI, the trainees can build solutions, improve their apps and advance technology in many fields, including healthcare, financial management, and environmental protection, to name just a few. The Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals certification could be a great fit for the students if they would like to: Prove that they have the AI skills it takes to build a better world. Earning your Azure AI Fundamentals certification can supply the foundation you need to build your career and demonstrate your knowledge of common AI and machine learning workloads—and what Azure services can solve for them. The training was provided to validate the foundational knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts, along with related Azure services. The 100 hours training session has been conducted through Online Meet platform.

Certification Preparatory Session on Microsoft Azure (AI)

The main objective of this 2-day session is to provide practice for the lobal certification exam on Microsoft Azure AI-102 for the registered students. The Practice session commenced with a silent prayer followed by general guidelines and tips for certification from Head of the Department Prof. SevugaPandian. The Resource Person Mr. Mrutyamjaya Surampudi took over the session and briefed us about the opportunities that awaits at the end of successful completion of the Azure Certificate. Furthermore Mr. Jay discussed with the students sample MCQ questions and provided a thorough revision of the various concepts in Microsoft Azure. Sir instilled confidence in the students to take up the Examination and successfully complete it.

Industry Mentorship Programme on Inspire the Next Gen

The industry mentorship programme on “Inspire the next gen” started with the introductory remarks by Dr.Calitus Jude, Dean , sciences. The session was handed over to Mr. Madhavendran Kumar, who started the session by introducing himself and revealing a bit about his journey in the field of decision making. Mr. Kumar then dived in further to the depth of how we should use our head as well as our heart to make decisions. A short questionnaire was then held to make the students more comfortable. Mr Premanath took over the session and explained the importance of predictive analysis and other spheres of data collection and analysis. Mr.Premanath also gave a mapping of his journey as a data analyst, this was also followed by a questionnaire. It was an interactive session as participants could ask their queries and doubts to the speaker, to improve the sessions and have an enhanced knowledge.

Objective: Inauguration of Centre of Excellence for training women students on Microsoft Azure, a CSR initiative by Honeywell.

The inaugural session was chaired by Fr. Dr Augustine George, Principal, Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous). Dr Calistus Jude, Prof. Sevuga Pandian, the Chief Guest, Mr Suresh Babu, Head-Corporate and Government Initiatives, graced the occasion with their presence. Mr Vishnu Prasad, State Head, ICT Academy, Karnataka, Mr Vishnu Sanjay, Senior Manager-Corporate and Government Initiatives, ICT Academy, Surendra A, Relationship Manager-Corporate and Government Initiatives and Mr Karthik B, Relationship manager were also present on the dais. Dr Calistus Jude, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, delivered the welcome note and highlighted the importance of higher education in India.

The ceremony was followed by the lighting of the lamp as a symbol of success and illumination. Fr. Dr Augustine George delivered the presidential address, empathizing the gender equality and the importance of women empowerment. Father appreciated ICT academy's contribution and Honeywell CSR initiative to empower women in the field of technology. The Chief Guest, Mr Suresh Babu, explained with statistics how the job roles were going to change in the near future, and the importance of being skilled is of utmost importance in the present world. Mr Suresh Babu highlighted how every student would benefit from the Honeywell CSR program, and each student will be globally certified on successful completion of a hundred hours of training on Microsoft Azure by Honeywell.

A vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Sevuga Pandian, Head, Dept. Computer Science UG. Prof. Sevuga Pandian explicated how the Honeywell program would help the women youth of today despite the disruptive technologies in the Digital Revolution 4.0. Prof.Sevuga Pandian wholeheartedly thanked the members of the ICT academy as well as the Honeywell members for this innovative program at the college. Dr Calistus Jude handed over a memento to Mr Suresh Babu as a token of appreciation and love. The session was concluded with the college anthem by the choir. Rev Fr. Augustine George inaugurated the Lab for the training program in the presence of all the dignitaries as the centre of excellence for Women Empowerment by Honeywell.
