Kristu Jayanti College successfully organized the 52nd Edition of Vichaarmanthan, an interactive session to engage students, academicians, and professionals with distinguished global and Indian visionaries. The session featured Dr. D. Subbarao, Former Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, Former Finance Secretary of the Government of India, and Former Secretary to the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council. The event, held on April 01, 2025, at 11:00 AM, took place in the esteemed presence of Father Dr. Augustine George, Principal of Kristu Jayanti College, Dr. Aloysius Edward J, Dean, Faculty of Commerce & Management, Dr. Sivasubramanian K, Head, Department of Economics, and student coordinators Mr. Lishan Abraham and Ms. Mariya Rose Cyril. The event commenced with a formal welcome to the distinguished guests, faculty, and students, followed by the auspicious lighting of the lamp ceremony. This symbolic gesture began a session filled with insights on leadership, governance, and personal growth. Dr. D. Subbarao delivered an inspiring talk on “Leadership Lessons I Learnt the Hard Way.” Sharing his experiences from his tenure as an IAS officer, he highlighted the significance of patience, integrity, and strong character in leadership. He also reflected on his civil service journey, recounting pivotal moments that shaped his career and leadership philosophy. Dr. Subbarao emphasized the importance of perseverance in overcoming challenges. He elaborated on key policy decisions during his tenure and the impact of governance on economic stability. He inspired students to cultivate discipline, ethical conduct, and adaptability. The event concluded on a high note, leaving the attendees motivated and enriched with valuable leadership insights.
