Connect & Catalyze: Alumni Talk Series

Department of Professional Management organized the First Edition of “Connect and Catalyze”, an alumni talk series online on 19th September 2023, Tuesday for the first year Aviation Management students and Tourism & Hospitality management. Mr. Akhil Thomas (Alumni Batch 2013-2016) Banquet Chef B Hospitality Kitchener Ontario, Canada was invited as the resource person for the alumni talk series. Mr. Akhil Thomas shared his experiences on the role of being a banquet chef in shaping his career and personality. He spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of being a banquet chef. Mr. Akhil shared the procedures for entering the hotel industry and spoke about the pros and cons of the hotel industry, clarifying a few doubts asked by the students. He also motivated the students to participate in all possible activities related to the hotel industry. He also spoke about the key areas in the hotel industry and how marketing and human resources play a role in growing in the market. Mr. Akhil motivated students to do specific certification courses if they were planning to enter this industry. The session was interesting and well-acknowledged by the students. The students were happy and progressive on the impact of the interaction.


Connect & Catalyze: Alumni Talk Series

Department of Professional Management organized the First Edition of the Alumni Talk Series Connect & Catalyze on 26 August 2023, for II & III year Aviation Management and II Year Tourism and Hospitality Management students. Ms. Rasheeda (Alumni Batch 2013-2016), Lead Cabin Attendant at Interglobe Aviation Limited (Indigo Airlines), was invited as the resource person for the alumni talk series. Ms. Rasheeda shared her testimony on the role of a lead cabin attendant in shaping her career and personality. She spoke about the strengths and weaknesses of being an attendant in the airline. Ms. Rasheeda also spoke about the pros and cons of the aviation industry, clarifying a few doubts asked by the students. She motivated the students to participate in all possible activities related to the aviation industry. She also spoke about the importance of grooming in the aviation industry. The session was interesting and well-received by the students. They were happy and optimistic about the impact of the interaction.
