The Department of Professional Management Studies at Kristu Jayanti College in collaboration with Miles SoBA proudly presents Fit My Shoe – Fit it Right, Design it Better, engaging and innovative strategic activity organized for second-year BBA Branding and Advertising students. This hands-on challenge aimed to blend creativity, design thinking, and strategic branding, offering students a unique opportunity to design, develop, and market a custom shoe from scratch. The activity was not just about crafting a product; it was about creating a brand story that resonates with the assigned target personality.
The activity began with a briefing session on 07 October 2024, where students were introduced to the task. The challenge was straightforward yet demanding: each team was required to design a bespoke shoe tailored to the needs of a specific client. Teams had to conceptualize and create a shoe from scratch, focusing on aspects such as comfort, style, material, and usability based on the assigned authority's preferences and lifestyle. Alongside the product design, students were tasked with developing a comprehensive branding strategy. This included creating a brand name, logo, tagline, and a marketing plan to position the shoe effectively in the market.
The debriefing session was a grand finale where students unveiled their final products. Each team presented their shoe designs along with the detailed branding strategies they had crafted. The Fit My Shoe - Fit It Right, Design It Better activity was an enriching experience for the students, providing valuable insights into the world of product design and branding. Students explored creative ways to design and brand a product tailored to specific client profiles. The challenge allowed students to apply their theoretical knowledge of branding and advertising in a practical setting, bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application. The activity emphasized collaboration and effective communication, as teams worked together to create compelling product pitches.
