The undergraduate English Literature programme is interdisciplinary, encompassing language, literary, and cultural studies.
The programme focuses on English Studies with a tangential focus on interdisciplinary approaches. The program emphasises developing language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), while encouraging creative expression and critical thinking. While focusing on Language Studies, the programme's thrust is on literary and cultural discourses that define multiple identities.
The curriculum integrates pedagogical techniques that are technology-enabled, interactive and experiential. The integration of technology in classrooms (language labs and online learning platforms) facilitates teaching and learning.
Through a variety of initiatives, including workshops, mentorship opportunities, and community engagement projects, students are encouraged to develop emotional intelligence, social skills, and ethical decision-making abilities, prioritising personal and social development.
