The Department of Management's Student Research Club conducted resourceful session focused on enhancing research skills using innovative tools for efficient paper development. The workshop, titled "Tools for Streamlined Research Paper Development," aimed at equipping students with the knowledge and skills to simplify the complex stages of academic research, from data collection to publication.
Session Highlights:
Introduction to Research Tools: Ms. Eudora and Ms. Hana introduced the essential digital tools that assist researchers in planning, organizing, and managing their research efficiently. The session highlighted software and online resources for literature review, data analysis, citation management, and collaborative research.
Hands-On Experience: Participants engaged in practical demonstrations of the tools, learning how to integrate them into their research workflow. This hands-on approach allowed students to understand the functionality and real-time application of each tool.
Peer Insights and Tips: Ms. Eudora and Ms. Hana, both experienced members of the Student Research Club, shared insights from their personal research journeys, discussing effective strategies to overcome common challenges in research development.
Interactive Q&A Session: The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where students had the opportunity to ask specific questions and discuss their individual research challenges. The trainers offered tailored advice to enhance students’ confidence and capability in conducting independent research.
Impact and Benefits: This workshop benefitted approximately 30 student researchers, enriching their understanding of research methodologies and enabling them to employ digital tools to streamline their work. By enhancing students' proficiency in research tool usage, the Department of Management’s Student Research Club continues to support and empower young researchers to achieve academic excellence.

The Student’s Research Club of the Department of Management organized a workshop titled "Student-Led Peer Learning for Empowering Research Work," aimed at fostering collaboration and enhancing research skills among students. It was organized on 24th September, 2024. This peer-to-peer learning environment provided a platform for students to exchange insights, resources, and feedback on various aspects of research, including design, methodologies, and challenges. Participants explored research tools, built supportive networks, and learned about the importance of academic integrity and sustainable research practices. The workshop was well-received, with students reporting increased confidence in their research abilities and a stronger sense of community. The Research Club plans to continue organizing similar workshops to further support students in their academic and research endeavors.
The inauguration of the Student’s Research Club at Kristu Jayanti College, spearheaded by Fr. Dr Augustine George, the principal, was a significant event that marked the commencement of an exciting academic journey. A total of 66 students actively participated in the occasion, demonstrating their keen interest in exploring and collaborating on research initiatives.
Fr. Augustine George, during his inaugural address, underscored the pivotal role that research plays in fostering academic growth and development. His words served as an inspirational guide for the club's mission to nurture a culture of inquiry and innovation within the college community.
The ceremony featured the official unveiling of the Student’s Research Club, symbolizing a commitment to intellectual pursuits and collaborative learning. As the 66 students enthusiastically embraced this initiative, the atmosphere was charged with excitement, reflecting a collective eagerness to engage in research projects and make meaningful contributions to the academic sphere.
The inauguration of the Research Club at Kristu Jayanti College not only celebrated the commencement of a new academic endeavor but also laid the groundwork for a dynamic community of students dedicated to pushing the boundaries of knowledge. Under Fr. Augustine George's leadership and with the active participation of the students, the club is poised for a promising future in research and academic excellence.
Exploring the Research Landscape-A Roadmap For Students in association with the Department Of Management was a Guest Lecture session by Mr. Jaheer Mukthar KP for the students of Research Club on 03/02/2024 at 10:00 AM in A 202 , Second floor , Admin Block, was meticulously designed and organized to provide a lot of important inputs and information to students regarding “HOW TO PREPARE A RESEARCH PAPER”. This report endeavors to provide a detailed account of the lecture session, capturing the key aspects of the session, its objectives, and the profound impact it had on the participants. So, it was an amazing initiative session fostering and igniting a spark in students and encouraging them to move forward to prepare their own Research paper.
Anveshan 2022
Department of Management orgainsed a Research Competition “ANVESHAN” for final year BBA Students on 20th September 2022 at 9.00am in A1 Auditorium (Admin Block)‘.ANVESHAN’ literally means ‘discovery’, ‘a searching’, ‘a hunt’, ‘a quest’. It is the creatice and systematic work undertaken to increase the stock of knowledge. It involves the unbiased collection, organization and analysis of information to increase understanding of a topic or issue. A research project may be an expansion on past work in the field. To test the validity of instruments, procedures, or experiments, research may replicate elements of prior projects or the project as a whole. Kristu Jayanti College gives a platform for the undergraduate students so that they learn how a research is conducted and how they can publish their papers when they get out into the real world. To achieve this, the Department of Management organized ANVESHAN. ANVESHAN is an intra-class paper presentation competition that started in the year 2010. This program provides the platform for the students to showcase their research abilities, increase their competence level and build transferable skills.
The orientation was conducted on 6th September 2022 by Teachers handling the paper Business Research Methods, which consisted of the brief summary of the event. Teacher’s in-charge of Anveshan was Dr.A J Excelce, Ms. Aiswarya Babu N, Mr. Manjunath S and Dr. VG Jisha. Our Students were asked to register their topics through Google form. With the guidance of the event coordinators, students prepared questionnaires pertaining to their research and collected the data. After getting approval, they did a detailed analysis and submitted the report. Preliminary round was conducted on 15th and 16th September and the best 5 teams were selected in each area.
This program provided a platform for students to showcase their research abilities, increase their competence level and build transferable skills. For this purpose, students were divided into of group of three or two and instructed to carry out research based on the selected topics in the four broad areas like Marketing, Human Resource, Finance and General Topics. Totally 120 teams registered. All the groups were given opportunity to present their research work.
The final round was conducted on 20th September 2022. The judges for the event were Dr. Peter Leo Deepak, Dr. Sheeja Krishnakumar, Dr. Chandrakhanthan J, Dr. Sivasubramanian K. The event started at 9.30 a.m. and ended by 3:30pm. The Best paper presenters were honored in all the Categories.
The aim of the event is to inculcate the knowledge of each functions of management and enhance the managerial skill through their roles assigned and areas interested to participate. It is promptly achieved and students are also expressed their experienced. Students were gained knowledge and understanding the different perspectives on Management function like leadership skills through leading and motivating the participants and also enhanced their organizing tactics, coordinating and controlling talents. Participants are experienced and evolved and enlightened themselves through their active involvement of the various events.
Anveshan 2021 Research Paper Presentation
Research is a powerful part of education. The research component allows for a broader educational experience. Students will be able to explore the effects of applying new thought processes through study and testing. They could use that experience to see the practical application of their classroom experience represented in research projects. Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous) elevates the academe with its multi-pronged thrust on research and innovation, complementing the academic quest. The college also aims to allow students to participate in various research activities on campus, thereby showing the pathway to acquaint with research culture among the students from the undergraduate level. To achieve this, the Department of Management organized ANVESHAN, a paper presentation competition for the final year BBA students. The faculty members conducted the orientation on 6th September 2021, handling the ‘Business Research Methods’ paper. The coordinators of Anveshan was Dr A.J.Excelce, Ms Shilpa Rao, Mr Manjunath S., Mr Madhusudhanan and Dr Subha. The students were asked to submit their topics through Google form on or before 30th September. With the guidance of the event coordinators, students prepared the questionnaire and collected the data. After getting approval, they did the detailed analysis and submitted the report. A preliminary round was conducted, and the best teams in all the areas were selected. Five teams were selected from each area.

Totally 115 teams registered. All the groups were given an opportunity to present their research work. The selected teams in the entire four categories presented their detailed research work.
The final round was conducted on 8th October 2021 in Mini Auditorium I & IV in Admin Block. The judges for the event were Dr Arti Singh, Dr Leo, Dr Annie Stephen and Mr Madhusudhanan. The event started at 9.30 am and ended by 1 pm. The best paper presenters were honoured in all the Categories.
Anveshan 2020 Research Paper Presentation
Research is the process of creating new things. “ANVESHAN 2020” is an event which was exclusively organized for final year BBA Students on 15th October 2020. The fundamental objective was to inculcate and motivate the research aptitude among management students. Our Students worked in teams to come up with a research problem in the area of interest and their specialization. With constant guidance of the teachers they successfully documented their own research work with primary and secondary Data. Across 6 sections the best 5 teams of each class were selected to present their research work. “ANVESHAN 2020” is a research paper presentation conducted by the Department of Management exclusively for the final year BBA students. The orientation was conducted on 5th October 2020 by Dr.A.J.Excelce, which consisted of the brief summary of the event. Teachers’ in-charge of Anveshan was Dr.A.J.Excelce and Dr. Vijin Shaji. Our Students were asked to register their topics through Google form on or before 13th October after consulting the teachers’ in-charge. The first part of the report was a questionnaire which was to be submitted on 9th October and a report on 12th October. Presentation of the report of PPT as a part of selection was done on 13th and 14th October by the respective Business Research Methods subject Professors. Only 5 teams were selected from each section. The objective was to inculcate research knowledge among management students. The students were divided into groups of two and made to carry out research based on primary and secondary data
The final round was conducted on 15th October 2020 through Virtual Mode. The judges for the event were Prof. Shilpa, Prof. Manjunath, Prof. Rupashree, Prof. Bijin Philip, Prof. Finold Jose, Prof. Sheeja, Dr. Subha, Dr.Excelce. The event started at 9.15 a.m. and was concluded by 4.30 pm. The finalists came forward with innovative Research topics which were greatly appreciated.
The results of “Anveshan 2020” were announced the following day, 16th October during the Valedictory of “Acumen and Anveshan 2020”.
Anveshan 2019 Research Paper Presentation
Anveshan is a research paper presentation conducted by the department of management exclusively for the final year BBA students. The orientation was conducted on 18th July 2019 by Dr.Silbert Jose which consisted of the brief summary of the event. Teachers in-charge of Anveshan were Dr.Silbert Jose and Prof.Steffi Joan. Students were asked to register their topics through google form on or before 20th July after consulting the teachers in-charge the first part of the report was questionnaire which was to be submitted on 24th July and a report on 30th July. Presentation of the report PPT as a part of selection was done on 31st July till 6th August by the respective Business Research Methods subject Professors. 5 teams were selected from each section. The objective is to inculcate research knowledge among management students. The students were divided into groups of two and made to carry out research based on primary data. Students worked in teams to come up with a research problem in their area of interest and specialization. Based on the selected topics students conducted primary study, collected data and analysis was made.
The final round was conducted on 8th August 2019 in Mini Auditorium 2 in the Main Block. The judge for the event was Dr.M.K. Baby,Head of Management Department(PG). The event started at 10 am and was concluded by 1 pm. The finalists came forward with innovative Research topics which was greatly appreciated. The papers were presented on the various topics like
