On the 12th of April 2024, the students of IV BBA C had the enriching opportunity to visit ID Fresh Foods Pvt. Ltd., a leading company in the food processing industry, situated in the vibrant city of Bangalore, Karnataka. The visit provided invaluable insights into the operations and management of a successful enterprise.
Industrial Visit to Stove Kraft
Date: 12 April 2024
Department of Management of Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous had organised the Industrial Visit to Stove Kraft on April 12, 2024 for IV BBA E section. The objective of the industrial visit event is to give students a firsthand look at industrial operations and deep insights into the complexities of managing a physical warehouse. Stove Kraft Ltd. is located at Harohalli Industrial area in Kanakapura district. The designated staff members greeted the students and informed us of the necessary guidelines.
Subsequently, we proceeded to explore their electric pressure cooker (EPC) and electric rice cooker (ERC) plant, adorned with an array of sophisticated manufacturing machinery and skilled personnel. The plant was meticulously organized into distinct working units, each dedicated to specific manufacturing operations. Following our tour of the plant, we had the privilege of engaging with the plant head, where we delved deeper into the mechanics and management intricacies of the facility, gaining invaluable insights in the process. Overall, students connect theoretical concepts with real-world manufacturing practices and explore career opportunities within the industry.
Industrial Visit to Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd

The Department of Management planned an Industrial Visit in association with Garuda Polyflex Foods Private Limited, Bangalore for the IV Semester BBA B section students. This Industrial Visit gave experiential learning to the students as they visited different sectors in the food industry. A total number of 65 Students from IV BBA (B) visited Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd on 16/04/2024. They were accompanied by Ms Sony N. The industry is located near Jigani Link Road at Bommasandra Anekal Taluk in Bengaluru. The students visited the industry as a part of their curriculum.
The students were given an introduction about the company and chocolate production methods which involved showing them the production processes such as "Beans to Chocolate" and "Gone Mad Wafer Stick Chocolate Production". After that, the students went for the factory floor visit along with faculty members in two groups. During the floor visit, the students were shown the process of manufacturing chocolate wafer sticks. The students got an opportunity to interact with the employees and asked them several queries about the manufacturing process.
Industrial Visit to Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd

The Department of Management planned an Industrial Visit in association with Garuda Polyflex Foods Private Limited, Bangalore for the II Semester BBA D section students. This Industrial Visit gave experiential learning to the students as they visited different sectors in the food industry.
A total number of 68 Students from II BBA (D) visited Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd on 05/04/2024. They were accompanied by Dr.Swathi.P. The industry is located near Jigani Link Road at Bommasandra Anekal Taluk in Bengaluru. The students visited the industry as a part of their curriculum.

Industrial Visit to ID Fresh Foods Pvt. Ltd.,

On 4th April 2024, the students of IVth Semester BBA Section-D visited ID Fresh Foods Pvt. Ltd., Attibele, Anekal Taluk, Bengaluru- 562107. A total of 66 students were a part of this industrial visit under the able leadership of Prof. C Surendhranatha Reddy Head, Department of Management. I D Fresh Foods Pvt. Ltd. is a provider of wholesome and fresh ready-to-cook foods. The visit was an enriching learning experience for all the students. After reaching the venue, the students were given a brief presentation about the company and its practices. The history, business strategies, manufacturing ethics and work culture were explained to the students. After this, the students were taken through ID’s manufacturing unit. They were able to understand the preparation procedures of the different products manufactured by the company. The students were also introduced to the distribution process of the Company. Questions and queries asked by the students were also answered at the end of the visit. As a token of our gratitude, the class representative delivered a vote of thanks to the Company. The students were provided with snacks and also a gift on behalf of ID Fresh Foods Pvt. Ltd. The visit bridged the gap between theoretical learning and practical exposure.
Industrial Visit to Stovekraft Limited

Department of Management got permission from Stovekraft Limited, Harohalli Industrial Area, Kanakapura Taluk, Bangalore and arranged Industrial visit on 4th April 2024 for the IV BBA A section students to visualise, understand the theory and practice. The students were advised to form a group and allowed to visit inside the production unit with proper setup. Manager explained the each process of the machine like, how the stoves are been manufactured, the flame emulsion test is done, how durable the glass top of the stove is, the double checking process to avoid and prevent damage product, the power polish coating of the stoves,
The goods are manufactured and stored in warehouse after packing for the purpose of transportation and distribution to various platforms and places. The company manufactures every single part of the stove except for the cardboard for packing which they outsource. They have two shifts per day and produce 6000 products per day and 75000 stoves per month. Also the company aims in women empowerment where there are almost 70% of female workers. They manufacture stoves with 2, 3 & 4 burners. Except for this they also manufacture Induction stove, Chimney, OTG, Pan, Rice cooker. Stovekraft produce products for three major brands like Skava, Pigeon, and Gilma. Thus, the industrial visit was successfully able to impart knowledge in it’s true sense. A real time exposure on how the whole process of manufacturing follows in the Stovekraft Limited was assured. Learning and growing together was given utmost priority with complete understanding of various functionalities carried out in the industry was made sure.
The major outcome was students were able to Witness and understand how actually things workup in an industry in reality. How the technology drastically has got developed that it just takes 6 seconds to manufacture one stove which is so fascinating. The company stays at the top position in the market, where they don’t comprise on the quality of the product. The company has a huge inventory stock to maintain stockouts which helped students to know about logistics and supply system in real time. Overall it was such an amazing Opportunity for students to look at all things and process from so close and enhance their learning, understanding & knowledge about how industries perform.
Department of Management, Kristu Jayanti College organised an Industrial Visit for the VI semester Section A, B, C and D BBA students on 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th March 2024 respectively. The recent excursion to Scania Commercial Vehicles India Private Limited's chassis assembly plant –Kolar District, proved to be an eye-opening journey for our college students. It offered them an immersive dive into the realm of commercial vehicle production, unveiling the cutting-edge technologies and methodologies embraced by Scania. The precision and thoroughness witnessed along the production line left a lasting impression, underscoring the company's commitment to excellence. Engaging with seasoned industry professionals provided invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of commercial vehicles, enriching our understanding beyond classroom teachings. This visit not only bridged the gap between theory and practice but also equipped us with tangible skills applicable to future endeavours. We extend our heartfelt gratitude for this enriching experience and eagerly anticipate leveraging this newfound knowledge in our professional pursuits.
The industrial visit to Scania Commercial Vehicles India Private Limited manufacturing plant was an enlightening experience for the students of our college. The visit provided them with a first-hand glimpse into the world of commercial vehicle manufacturing, showcasing the advanced technologies and processes employed by Scania. We were impressed by the efficiency of the production line and the meticulous attention to detail evident in every aspect of the manufacturing process. During the visit, we had the opportunity to interact with industry experts who shared valuable insights into the latest trends and innovations in the commercial vehicle sector. Overall, the industrial visit to Scania Commercial Vehicles India Private Limited was a valuable learning experience that complemented our classroom knowledge with practical, real-world insights into the manufacturing industry. We are grateful for the opportunity and look forward to applying the knowledge gained during our visit in our future endeavours.
Industrial Visit to Dairy Day, Dairy Classic Ice Creams Pvt. Ltd.

There were 75 Students of IV BBA AM [A] accompanied by a faculty member Dr.K.Sivaprasad, who had been to Dairy Day, Dairy Classic Ice Creams Pvt. Ltd. for an industrial visit as part of their curriculum on 28/02/2024. The Dairy Day story began in 2002 when industry veterans having 20-25 years of experience in the Ice Cream Industry decided to quit their MNC jobs and nurture a brand with their passion. They saw a market opportunity which no one else did. They believed that flavours had feelings and that taste buds can party.
Dairy Day was started in a modest 2000 square foot factory. But fueled by the founder’s passion and expertise, Dairy Day quickly evolved to become one of the leading brands in India.
We started at 9:00 a.m. in the morning and reached by 2:00 p.m. Students can experience about the plant outlet and production unit and packaging process. This visit lasted for about one hour where the students were grouped into two and were briefed about the producing the ice creams which is prepared in different flavors in different machines then how they are assembled and sent for packaging according to different quantities requirements.
The industry gave a rich experience to the students about the production and operation management and also gave an insight about technology and various Techniques involved.
Students were accompanied by a production manager who explained to them in detail about the processes and various activities carred for production, processing and marketing strategies targeting their market.
The marketing techniques, their channel of distribution, the number of employees and the benefits given to them by the organization was explained in brief. The visit concluded with an interactive session with the company official who answered questions of students related to production and operation management. Followed by students visiting the plant layout of the company. After the visit students had an idea about the production and plant capacity of the company.
Industrial Visit Report – II BBA G

On February 26, 2024, students of II BBA G embarked on an Industrial visit to the "Dairy Day" ice cream producing factory located at JC industrial estate, Bangalore. The visit aimed to provide students with firsthand insight into the processes involved in ice cream production and the functioning of a manufacturing facility. The visit started with a factory led by a guide, during which students were introduced to various stages of ice cream production. They witnessed the mixing of ingredients, the freezing process, and the packaging of the final product. Knowledgeable staff members provided explanations at each stage, elucidating the intricacies of the manufacturing process.
One of the highlights of the visit was the tasting session, where students had the opportunity to sample a diverse range of ice cream flavors produced by the factory. This hands-on experience allowed them to appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into creating high-quality ice cream. Overall, the trip to the "Dairy Day" ice cream producing factory was enriching and informative, offering students valuable insights into the operations of a manufacturing facility and the dynamics of the ice cream market.
Industrial Visit to Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd

Students from the II BBA C section visited Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. in Narasapura Industrial Estate in Kolar District, Karnataka on February 20, 2024. The Industrial Estate provided valuable insight into the world of sophisticated car manufacture. Known for its innovative approach to sustainable transport, Scania has a strong presence in India through its Karnataka manufacturing site. The company specialises in producing heavy-duty trucks, buses, and engines. The visit offered students a glimpse into Scania's manufacturing processes, technical advancements, quality standards, and sustainability efforts. Scania trucks are produced efficiently, accurately, and consistently using these procedures. The factory visit supervised by a guide, provided students with insights into Scania's manufacturing processes, technical advances, quality standards, and environmental initiatives. The team observed automated manufacturing processes such as robotic welding, precise machining, and assembly lines. These processes guarantee efficient, accurate, and consistent Scania vehicle manufacture. Expert staff explained the manufacturing and assembly process at each stage.
The tour to Scania Commercial Vehicles India Pvt. Ltd. offered insights into the company's innovative manufacturing processes and sustainability practices. Scania's commitment to quality, innovation, and environmental responsibility was better understood by the pupils. The experience was interesting and enlightening, enhancing students' understanding of the automobile industry's intricacies.
Department of Management, Kristu Jayanti College organised an Industrial Visit for the VI semester BBA students from 20th February to 25th February 2023. The Industrial visit was to Stovekraft Ltd. It has the largest manufacturing facility for kitchen appliances in the Harohalli industrial area, Kanakapura, Bengaluru, and the second manufacturing unit in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. It is the constant endeavor of Stovekraft Ltd to provide the best services using ultramodern technology to their valued customers. Pigeon, Gilma, Pigeon LED, and Black + Decker are the popular brands of Stovekraft. The students were taken to a vessel lid manufacturing unit followed by a pressure cooker unit. Both of these were located in the unit number 3. One specific thing which grabbed the attention of the vessel lid unit was that it follows” Kaizen”. Kaizen is a compound of two Japanese words that together translate as “good change” or “improvement”. It means that the industry serves as a continuous improvement unit through its association with lean methodology and principles.5 principles that come under Kaizen are Know Your Customers, let it Flow, Go to Gemba, Empower people and be transparent. Mentioning the first place of learning, was the vessel lid industry which involved several sections and sub-sections of how the complete process went on. This involved glass cutting, grinding, drilling, furnace, assembly, and reverting. Glass cutting were of g type and c type. Exposure to the practicality of vessel lid manufacture gave the students a clear insight into how the process undergoes the sub-manufacturing processes to fetch the resultant product. Secondly, we were taken to the pressure cooker manufacturing unit. The powder coating process flow (conveyor type) was clearly depicted in a chart and the same was shown in reality too. It all began with Loading the part, followed by spray cleaning, oil removal, dip wash, and spray wash. The next major task was vitrification, spray washing, and dip washing. This process was again continued by a moisture-drying oven after which it was taken to powder spraying room 1 and then powder spraying room 2. Following on the list was powder coating curing oven. The unloading was undertaken and finally the storage packaging. The cleaning agent used was METRITE SAG-HD which is an alkaline cleaner designed for steel articles to clean surfaces at a temperature of 65o-70o C. The combination of adhesives and their unique formulation ensures an ideal phosphate crystal structure. This process is used with immersion or spray method with air agitation for effective degreasing. The manufacturing unit uses various technical equipment to make the human effort easier.

Department of Management organized the Virtual industrial visit on 24/4/2021 for the final year students. The main objective is to help the student to understand the production procedures and Management practices of Amul Chocolates and UNIBIC Biscuits. The presentation started with a brief introduction of ‘Amul Chocolate history and continued with the Production process. Students were briefed about the Amul history when it started and about the founder. Amul is associated with 1821 village dairy cooperative societies. It has various ranges of diary products which are popular all over the world. The students were explained about the various stages of production process of chocolate.
The second virtual visit was UNIBIC Biscuits. It came to India in 2004 with the iconic Anzac and Bradman cookies. Over the years, the company has grown its range to over 30 variants and has been regularly introducing fresh & unique flavours to cookie connoisseurs around the world. There are a wide variety of cookies ranging from the sense of chocolate to the dry fruit embedded crunchy and delighted cookies to sugar-free cookies to oatmeal cookies. They have developed over 20 varieties to give a blast to your taste buds. They export to countries like UK, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East and many more. Majority of the students agreed that the lecture & presentation was enlightening and useful. They also agreed that the information presented was new to them and the presentation was relevant. The students appreciated the content of the presentation and the visuals were effective to understand the manufacturing procedures of Amul and UIBIC, How men and technology are efficiently and effectively used. Students were strongly agreed with the content delivered efficiently and most of the students engaged with the discussion forum on startups and they agreed that this video screening motivated them to the extent.
Overall it was an informative virtual visit where the students imbibed a lot of aspects of management, how men and technology go hand –in –hand and intellectual aspects like team work & determination.
Virtual Industrial visit
Department of Management organized a Virtual Industrial visit for the first year BBA Students from 9.15 to 10.15 a m on 3rd October 2020. The presentation started with a ‘Documentary on the world’s best-selling drink, Coca– Cola” and a brief introduction of many prominent people who have made the company achieve huge success such as Rick Frazier, chief product supply and service officer. The main objective was to help the students to understand the production procedures of Coca-Cola, How an organization manages its Manpower and how efficiently it utilizes the resources and technology.
The students got to know a lot of interesting facts such as the net worth which is approximately $60000bn, the ingredients that dominate the beverages like 90% water and sweeteners, the various ways through which the beverage is served to the customers such as polyester bottles, cans and glass bottles and detailed view on their manufacturing, packaging and labelling was also watched by the students.
Overall it was an informative virtual visit where the students imbibed a lot of aspects of management, how man and technology go hand–in–hand and intellectual skills like team work & determination.

Department of Management planned Industrial Visit in association with Garuda Polyflex Foods Private Limited, Bangalore for the II Semester BBA students from 16th January 2020 to 27th January 2020. Industrial Visit scheduled in different dates for each section of II Semester BBA students. This industrial visit gives an experiential learning for the students by visiting the different section in the food industry.
II BBA A & AM:
A total of 57 Students from II BBA AM were accompanied by Prof.R.Haribaskar and Prof.Gincy Charles to the industry (i.e.) Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd. (GONEMAD) on 20/01/2020. The students had visited the industry as a part of their curriculum.
The students had visited Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd. (GONEMAD) which is manufacturing products in chocolate segment, biscuit segment and beverages segment. The venture maintained the leading position in sweet and savory snack with a very high retail value share. As the process of Industrial visit the students were given introduction about the company and its HR practices. Then they were guided by a HR department representative inside the manufacturing unit. There he explained about the entire process step by step to the students. Different varieties of chocolates and wafer stick production process were explained to the students. Students learned the real world application of management and the business mechanisms. They got information about the implementation of 5S methodology in the factory and the impact it had on the company running. It was observed that the works which were happening in the factory were going on very smoothly without any chaos and confusion among employees or machineries, which should be because of the 5S methodology mainly. Students learned about the Cleanliness and hygiene in the industry to ensure the quality of the product, working condition of the employees and various precautionary measures in respect of the human safety, plant safety and environment safety.
II BBA B:
A total of 69 students of II BBA B accompanied by Prof.L.Monica and Prof.Vinod Joseph George for an industrial visit as a part of their curriculum on 17th January 2020. The students visited the industries for 2 hours and learn the process and techniques involved in manufacturing of food products. They learned about the packaging and marketing techniques of the industry. It gives inputs to the student about the production and operation process carried out for the food products. The visit was very informative in terms of exposing students to basics of production and packaging. Students had interacted with the supervisor during visit and gathered lot of information about the manufacturing process and techniques followed in the industry.
II BBA C:
There were 78 students of II BBA C section accompanied by Prof.Ajai Abraham and Dr.Geethu Anna Mathew had visited the industry on 27th January 2020. Students were divided into two groups and accompanied by a unit supervisor who explained them the process of food products followed in the industry. They explained about the production and packing techniques which is the highlight for the industry for an effective distribution. The industrial visit ended with an interactive session with the company official who answered question of students related to HR, Finance, Marketing and manufacturing department in the industry. Industrial visit offers a great source to gain practical knowledge. Students can observe the concepts and practical working environment. It brings clarity to the manufacturing process.
II BBA D:
A total of 69 students from II Semester BBA D section accompanied by Prof.S.Manjunath and Dr.Roshen Therese Sebastian on 16th January 2020. The industrial visit started with the brief introduction about the company and its processes to the students followed by students visiting the plant layout of the company. After the visit, the students had an idea about the production and plant capacity of the food industry. This visit had enriched the learning ability of the students about manufacturing process of food products, techniques used in manufacturing activities and different practices followed by the industry to maintain the quality in the product. Students understood the plant layout as well as the function of chocolate manufacturing unit. The students came to know about the manufacturing process, HR policies, working environment, and safety precautions and 5S implementation of the industry.
II BBA BA:
A total number of 55 Students from II BBA (BA) visited Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd on 22/01/2020. They were accompanied by Dr Jisha V G and Prof. Varly Luthra. The industry is located near Jigani Link Road at Bommasandra Anekal Taluk in Bengaluru. The students had visited industry as a part of their curriculum.
Firstly, the students were given an introduction about the company and Chocolate Production-‘Beans to Chocolate’, Gone Mad Waferstick Chocolate Production Process through a video. And after that students went for Factory Floor Visit along with faculties in two groups. During the floor visit they showed the process how they manufacture the choclate wafersticks and students got the opportunities to interact with them and asked several queries about the manufacturing process. Industry visited by students this academic year gave them an enriching learning experience about the chocolate processing process, packing style adopted by companies and about the automation in the industries. In Garuda Polyflex Foods Pvt. Ltd students could also analyze the plant and facility layout and apply the theory concept of productions and operations management. Industrial visit delivered a practical exposure to students on the concepts taught theoretically in classroom.

The Students of VI BBA had visited three industries namely PUSHPAK PRODUCTS PVT LTD, KOMUL and CEREBRA GREEN on 04/03/2020 and 06/03/2020 as a part of their curriculum.
Firstly, students had visited Pushpak Products Pvt Ltd which has been designing, manufacturing and delivering high-end precision products and services for the Aerospace, Defence, Automobile, Industrial and Institutional. They are partners to ISRO, for some of the successful ambitious Aerospace projects of the world. To name recent ones, GSAT-15,16,17 and Project PSLV-C37, that successfully launched 104 satellites in a single flight.
The second plant students visited was KOMUL which is Karnataka’s Second highest Milk Producing District organization. It is a District level apex body of milk cooperatives in Karnataka, which aims to provide remunerative returns to the farmers by eliminating the middlemen and also serve the interest of consumers by providing quality Milk & milk products, which are good value for money. Presently Union has full pledged dairy at Kolar with an installed capacity of 2.0 LLPD, and three chilling centers at Chinthamani, Sadli, & Gowribidnur with 1.0 LLPD capacity each respectively. KOMUL started marketing of liquid milk in polythene sachets in entire Kolar District and parts of Bangalore City since 1994. The area of operation is restricted to Kolar and Chikkaballapura Districts having 2919 villages of 11 revenue Taluks.
The third industry was Cerebra Integrated Technologies Limited which commenced its business in 1992, as a player in the Hardware Sector, before later expanding to provide software services, IT training, Consulting, and ultimately, offering Total IT Solutions comprising of LPO, BPO and KPO services. Cerebra has over 50,000 installations of PC’s & Servers across the country, and the team has grown to more than 150 people today. Cerebra has persevered through times of hardship, and continues forward on its mission to be amongst the top IT Solutions Providers in the globe. Cerebra has set up one of the largest e-Waste facilities in India, with the aim of becoming a leading player in this business. All three industries visited by students this academic year gave them an enriching learning experience about the milk processing process, packing style adopted by companies and when visited Cerebra students could practically see and explore how e-waste is collected and recycled in Bangalore district and also about the refurbishing process that the company undertakers for laptops that are collected from corporate organization and resells it as a new product to its franchising authorities at a lesser price. In Cerebra students could also analyze the plant and facility layout and apply the theory concept of productions and operations management like Kaizen. At pushpak students could learn the practical process of designing and delivering high-end precision products and services for the Aerospace, Defence, Automobile, Industrial and Institutional. On a whole Industrial visit delivered a practically exposure to students on the concepts thought theoretically in classroom.

Kolar Diary Premises (KOMUL), NH4, Huthur Post, Kolar, Karnataka.
Department of Management arranged Industrial Visit in association with Kolar Premises (KOMUL) for the IV Semester BBA Students to visit their production unit in Kolar. This industrial visit was scheduled for each section in three different dates. Industrial visit was organized by the department in order to get experiential learning for the students in understanding the application of different unit in the industry.
IV BBA – A & C Section
A total of 90 students from IV BBA – A & C section along with two faculty members Prof.T.Somasundaram and Prof.K.Opika had visited the Kolar Premises on 28th January 2020. The students had visited the industries, where they make dairy products under the brand name “Nandini”. The plant visit lasted for 2 ½ hours and the students were oriented about the manufacturing process of dairy products, packaging system, quality policies of organisation and safety measures. The students were briefed about the benefits of the dairy product and a lot of information was provided as to how this dairy product was distributed in Bangalore. The students were exposed to the quality check routine of the products and automation of the machine was explained. It emphasized the students to understand the operation process of various dairy products, procuring raw materials, techniques used in packaging system, distribution channel and safety practices adopted in the dairy industries.
IV BBA – B & BA Section:
A total of 119 students from IV BBA – B & BA section along with two faculty members Prof.S.Manjunath and Prof.Steffi Joan had visited the Kolar Premises on 29th January 2020. The students had visited the dairy industries and initially they are oriented about the processing of milk from initial stage to the final stage. Students visited the different section of KOMUL Unit like pasteurization unit, quality checking unit and packing unit for 2 hours. The students were briefed about the quality process of dairy products and its distribution in Bangalore and also exposed to know the automation of machine used in the industries for dairy products. Students learnt about the computerized production of milk and other dairy products which involved a lot of steps with scientific methods pertaining to international standards.
IV BBA – D & AM Section
A total of 114 students from IV BBA – D & AM section along with two faculty members Dr.Silbert Jose S.V. and Prof.R.Madhusudhanan had visited the Kolar Premises on 30th January 2020. Students went for a visit for 2 hours and oriented about the various process and techniques used for dairy products in the industries. In this industrial visit, students came across the various sections in the industry and visited the manufacturing process, quality process and safety measures, etc. Every student was briefed about the benefits of the dairy product and its utilization and demand in the Bangalore region. The students were exposed to the quality check routine of the products and automation of the machine was explained. The students are witnessing various theoretical aspects in a practical manner. The operating process, plant layout, packing, delivering products gives them a clear picture better than the theoretical input.
The Industrial tour to Coimbatore New Delhi from 18th November ,2018 to 21st November 2018
The following industries were visited by our students
1. Aavin Milk Dairy, Coimbatore.
2. Suguna Motors, Coimbatore.
3. Aqua Group, Coimbatore.
4. Doddabetta Tea Factory, Ooty.
The Students of VI BBA had visited four industries namely Aavin Milk Dairy, Suguna Motors, Aqua Group and Doddabetta Tea factory. The students could learn the process and techniques involved in manufacturing of tea powder. They could learn about the packaging and marketing technique of the industry. The second plant visited was Aqua Group in Coimbatore, which was one of the largest producers of solar pumps, agricultural pumps and domestic pumps. The students were grouped into two and were briefed about the manufacturing, assembling procedures of the company’s product. This industry gave a rich experience to the students about the production and operation management and also gave an insight about Kaizen Techniques.
The third industry was Aavin Milk Dairy which is one of the leading distributors of milk in Tamilnadu. Students gained knowledge about the processes and segregation of milk. The marketing techniques their channel of distribution, the number of employees and the benefits given to them by the organization was explained in brief. The last company visited was Suguna Motors which is a global leader for manufacturing pumps and motors for domestic and industrial use. As the industry visited in Coimbatore and Ooty was more into manufacturing, students could analyze the plant and facility layout and apply the theory concept of productions and operations management like Kaizen, TQM etc. Around 94 students were the part of the study tour.
The Industrial tour to New Delhi from 17th November ,2018 to 21st November 2018
The following industries were visited by our students
1. Parle - G Limited – New Delhi.
2. Yakult Danone India Pvt. Limited, Sonipat – Haryana.
3. Mother Dairy Fruit & Vegetable Pvt. Limited, Patparganj - New Delhi.
The Students of VI BBA had been to New Delhi for an industrial visit as part of their curriculum and visited Parle-G, a company manufacturing cookies and confectionary and Mother Dairy, milk products processing industry.
The students had first visited Parle-G, where they manufacture biscuits, candies and other related products and the students were oriented about the manufacturing area, product display followed by question and answer session.
The second plant students visited was Mother Dairy, which makes milk products under the brand “Mother Dairy”. The visit included a brief orientation about manufacturing process, quality policies of organisation and safety measures and visit to the manufacturing area. The industry visited was Danone-Yakult, an industry that manufactures fermented milk based health drink. The students were briefed about the benefits of the product and a lot of information was provided as to how this product was marketed in India. The students were exposed to the quality check routine of the products and automation of the machine was explained.
The learning outcome of industrial visit includes the knowledge about manufacturing process, techniques used in production process, management practices adopted by the industries, legal framework, procuring raw materials, marketing of products and human resource practices of the organisations.
The visit was beneficial to the students as they have experienced the manufacturing process in real and interacted with officials from industry. They stressed that visit to Mother Dairy and Yakult was so informative and they have gained some knowledge about milk products and PR strategies of new products in an unfamiliar market. They also said that, interaction with employees was so helpful that they can easily understand the technical aspects of manufacturing process. Around 72 students were part of the study tour

Students of VI BBA have gone to Hyderabad for an industrial visit as part of their curriculum and have visited four industries named, Coca Cola, Hartex Rubber, Parle and AGI Glass. The students have visited the plants to know about the manufacturing process, organisation policies, working environment, marketing activities, industrial relations, legal regulations, distribution policies and safety measures taken by the industries.
The visit also focused on studying about management practices adopted by the industries for the smooth functioning of production, managing demand and supply, managing human resources, utilising the funds available and improving the quality.
The students gained a learning experience about manufacturing process of products, techniques used in manufacturing, management practices adopted by the industry, marketing of products, human resource practices, legal regulations on industry and industrial relations.

The Students of VI BBA had been to New Delhi for an industrial visit as part of their curriculum and visited M.B. Rubber, a footwear manufacturing industry and Mother Dairy, milk products processing industry. The industrial visit focused to gain the knowledge about manufacturing process, techniques used in production process, management practices adopted by the industries, legal framework, procuring raw materials, marketing of products and human resource practices of the organizations. The visit was beneficial to the students as they have experienced the manufacturing process in real and interacted with officials from industry and they have gained some knowledge about milk products. About 78 students were the part of study tour.
Industrial tour 2016: Paramount Nutrition India
On the 5, 6 and 7 of January 2016, all the students of IV Semester BBA, visited Paramount Nutrition India Pvt. Ltd., which is a contract manufacturing firm that produces Britannia’s Good Day biscuits for the whole of South India. This industrial visit was planned with an objective of giving students an opportunity to see their subject lessons come to life in the real world, and the theory learned in the classroom; how is it practically implemented. In this particular trip, the subjects such as Cost Accounting and Production Operations Management (POM) were seen in action.
The manufacturing facility is located in Bidadi Industrial Area and this state-of-the-art facility is spread over 7 acres. At Paramount, the students were divided into two batches and then shown around the facility. Before entering the factory, the students had to be sanitized and were also given some general instructions to be followed through the tour. Our students were shown the whole process of production, right from procuring of raw materials to the packaging of the biscuits. Each step in the process was explained by a guide. Questions were asked by the students so that in order to gain a deeper knowledge of the process and of their subjects.
After the factory tour, the students were given the opportunity to interact with the Manager and it proved to be quite helpful as the Manager clarified the doubts on the cost of operations and its control as well as its production specifications. The students were also given a good sampling of freshly baked biscuits.
Industrial tour 2015-2016: Industrial tour to Hyderabad
The industrial tour to Hyderabad was scheduled between 23rd November and 27th November, 2016.

The major learning from the industrial visit to Hyderabad and above mentioned industries was the understanding of the production and operations management along with various other functions of organizations. Students got the learning experiences of different stages of manufacturing of the products, safety precautions taken by the industries, quality management methods used, and warehousing and waste management techniques deployed.
About 165 students were a part of this study tour.
Study tour 2013-2014: Industrial tour to Coimbatore
The industrial tour to Coimbatore was scheduled between 28 January and 02 February, 2014.

The industrial tour to Coimbatore was scheduled from 8 February, 2013 to 11 February 2013. The following were visited by the students.
