Life Skills session on Stress Management- PG

The Department of Forensic Science in collaboration with Centre for Life Skills Education organised a life skill session on Stress Management titled “Balance Over Burnout” for the first year MSc Forensic Science students. Around 54 students attended the session. The objective of the session was to help the students manage stress in their daily life and upcoming exams. The session was led by Ms. Soumya Simon, Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) who shared practical strategies to cope with academic and personal stress. Students actively participated in discussions and learned techniques such as mindfulness and time management. The session helped students reflect on their stress triggers and adopt healthier coping mechanisms, making it a truly enriching experience.

The Department of Forensic Science in collaboration with Centre for Life Skills Education organised a life skill session on Stress Management titled “Equilibrium: Stress Reset” for the second year BSc Forensic Science (FSCRBC and FSBTBC) - 96 students with the objective of helping the students manage stress in their daily life and upcoming exams. The session was led by Ms. Kezia Eldos, Assistant Professor at the Department of Psychology, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University) who shared practical strategies to cope with academic stress. The session helped students reflect on their stress triggers and adopt healthier coping mechanisms, making it a truly enriching experience. Students actively participated learned techniques such as mindfulness, breathing exercises and other games.


Capacity Building Training on Life Skills
Date 25 to 29 July 2025
The Department of Forensic Science organised Capacity Building Training on Life Skills from 25th July to 29th July for the first year MSc Forensic Science students with the objective of enhancing students ability to effectively address personal and professional challenges. The programme emphasized key life skills such as self-awareness, effective communication, decision-making, problem-solving, critical thinking, coping with stress, and interpersonal relations. Through these core areas, the training sought to strengthen the overall confidence, adaptability, and resilience of the students.

The sessions were designed using participatory learning approaches, including group discussions, videos, case studies, and interactive exercises and games. The training sessions successfully contributed to building individual capacities, empowering participants to make informed decisions and contribute positively in their personal lives, future workplaces, and communities.
