Visit for the third-year undergraduate students of Biotechnology from PSGR Krishnammal College for Women

On January 28, 2025, the Department of Forensic Science hosted a visit for the third-year undergraduate students of Biotechnology from PSGR Krishnammal College for Women, Coimbatore, accompanied by two faculty members. The visit was designed to provide students with an immersive experience into the dynamic world of forensic science, exposing them to cutting-edge laboratory techniques and real-time casework applications.
During the visit, students had the opportunity to engage with forensic science experts, observe laboratory demonstrations, and understand the role of forensic technologies in crime investigation. This interaction helped them appreciate the interdisciplinary connection between biotechnology and forensic science, especially in areas such as DNA analysis, toxicology, and forensic microbiology.
The visit proved to be an enriching experience, offering students valuable insights into research-oriented careers and inspiring them to explore further opportunities in forensic and allied sciences.

St. Norbert School –ICSE visit

On January 27, 2024, Class 10 students of St. Norbert School – ICSE, Bengaluru, visited the Department of Forensic Science at Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bengaluru. The educational visit provided students with a hands-on learning experience about forensic science and its real-world applications.
The session began with an insightful introduction to forensic science, covering its significance in criminal investigations. UG final year students of forensic science department demonstrated essential techniques such as fingerprint analysis, bloodstain pattern examination, and document verification. Students actively participated in practical exercises, enhancing their understanding of forensic methodologies.
The visit concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students engaged with experts, discussing career opportunities in forensic science. The experience sparked curiosity and provided valuable exposure to the field, making it a memorable and enriching educational excursion.
