Constitutional Obligations

The Department of Forensic Science successfully completed session on Constitution Obligations for II year BSc Forensic Science students on 26th October 2024. Dr. Manjunath, Assistant Professor at Kristu Jayanti College of Law, delivered an insightful session on Constitutional Obligations for forensic science students. The session highlighted the significance of India’s Fundamental Rights, as enshrined in the Constitution, and their impact on law enforcement and forensic practices. The session provided students with a deeper understanding of the Constitution’s role in safeguarding individual freedoms, making it an invaluable experience for aspiring forensic experts. He also stressed on the Importance of Law and explained how the Right to Equality acts upon different aspects when it comes to the country’s various communities. The session winded up fruitfully giving major takeaways for the students.
Veritas & Aequitas Events
The Department of Forensic Science at Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru, recently organized a series of engaging intra-departmental events to foster creativity and academic excellence among its students. The events included a Logo Making competition for the Forensic Science Club, where participants showcased their artistic talents while capturing the essence of forensic science. Additionally, a Comic Strip Making competition added a touch of humor to the serious subject matter, allowing students to creatively communicate forensic concepts. The department also hosted a Scientific Writing competition, emphasizing the importance of effective communication within the field. These events were conducted on behalf of the department's publications, Veritas – the department newsletter, and Aequitas – the department magazine, providing a platform for students to contribute their work and insights. The initiative not only showcased the multifaceted talents of the forensic science students but also strengthened the sense of community within the department.
Civic Sense Awareness
The Forensic Science Department at Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore orchestrated a "Civic Sense Awareness" Session tailored for its student body. Led by the Sports Representatives from each class, these sessions were met with enthusiasm from the students. The primary focus was on instilling generic etiquettes and fostering a sense of responsibility, emphasizing the importance of personal hygiene and maintaining clean surroundings.
Every class contributed a diverse array of information, painting a vivid picture of the subject matter. This exchange not only enriched the content but also served as a catalyst for enhancing students' confidence in public speaking.
Overall, the sessions were both engaging and fruitful, serving as a platform for the dissemination of essential civic values and fostering a more confident public presence among the students.
