Mastersin Social Work (MSW)

The Master of Social Work (MSW) is offered as two year full time (four semesters) programme that is aimed at creating excellent Social Work professionals with the competency in multi disciplinary approach and ready for employment at national and international levels. The curriculum consists of theoretical inputs, observation visits, concurrent field work placements, minor project and block placement. In addition to the above special emphasis is given for experiential learning. The department over the years has earned the reputation for its MSW programme under Bangalore University. The university ranks and the gold medals received by the students substantiate this. At present the programme is offered with three specialisations namely

Human Resource Management
Social Development
Medical and Psychiatric Social Work

Eligibility
A candidate who has passed bachelors degree with 50 % marks is eligible to seek admission to the course.

Bangalore University Examination Fee - Students of 2012 batch and preceding batches who have backlog papers in the I/III & V Semester can apply for the Bangalore University supplementary examination scheduled to be held in March/April 2025.
