Mr Nitirooge stated that India is one of the top trading partners in Thailand. In September 2021, he received a Thai-Karnataka friendship Award of Excellence. He believes that the relationship would become prominent in Trade, Tourism, Education, Science, Technology, Defence and the Economy in the future. He said that Karnataka is a valuable partner in the high-tech field. He thinks people-to-people interaction, and bringing people together could prove fruitful in Technology and Education. There are MOUs signed by Thailand and colleges in India to promote more cultural exchange. There is Indian art taught in Thailand like Bharatnatyam, Indian music genres and art forms. He believes that India would be a self-sufficient economy and self-reliant country looking at the pace of growth here. He also mentioned that both countries share a similar goal i.e., education and knowledge to people. Thailand focuses more and higher education and opened more on foreign exchange programs. “People will think of Thailand for Management Studies, in future”, he believes. He concludes by telling us to take a trip to Thailand and get to know more about the country.

The floor, then, was open for questions. Mr Nitirooge patiently answered the questions students posed. He talked about how the country provides opportunities for Indian youth. The country follows the BCG economy model and how there are many investors from foreign as well as their own countries for businesses. He addressed a question about China and Thailand’s issues and threats. He said there is a balance between both countries as there are good trade policies and are not regarded as enemies. The next question was what problems both countries are solving together. He replied by saying that both countries are working on advanced cyber security, defence and various other things together. The last question asked was which country impressed with progressive growth. Each country grows differently and in a unique way, many countries which he visited were already grown. He concluded that India’s growing pace was quite impressive.

Miss Season Debbarma from MBA I, delivered the vote of thanks. The Father Principal presented a memento to His Excellency Mr Nitirooge. The session ended with the national anthems of both Thailand and India.
