Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bengaluru in Collaboration with Honorary Consular Corps Diplomatique-Bangalore Chapter, efficaciously conducted the G20 University Connect International conclave on G20 Presidency: Responsibilities and Opportunities, on the theme One Earth One Family One Future, on 2nd March 2023. The conclave was Inaugurated By His Excellency Mr Achim Burkart Consul General, Consulate General Of The Federal Republic Of Germany, Bangalore, His Excellency Mr Nitirooge Phoneprasert, Consul-General Of Royal Thai, Consulate General Chennai & Hon'ble Ms Shabeena Sultana Honorary Consul, Tunisia, in the august presence of Fr. Dr. Augustine George, Principal, Kristu Jayanti College, Dr. Aloysius Edward, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management, Dr M K Baby, Head, School of Management, & Dr. Gopakumar A V, Dean, Faculty Of Humanities.

A total of 550 Students, along with faculty members of various departments were present during the inauguration, followed by 4 Plenary sessions addressed by eminent leaders. Plenary Session I was on the theme Environment and Sustainability. The panellists were His Excellency Mr. Achim Burkart Consul General, Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany Bangalore Hon'ble Ms. Shabeena Sultana Honorary Consul, Tunisia Hon'ble Mr Sandeep Kumar Maini Honorary Consul, Mexico and the session was moderated by Dr. Gopakumar A V, Dean, Faculty of Humanities, the session covered the areas of major concerns that each of the country faces and have taken required actions upon, it also included the value of different measures that make one action lead the other, in an overall contributing to environment and sustainability for long run. The interaction made the students be mindful about their actions.

Plenary Session II was on the topic Startup and Innovation. The panellists were Hon'ble Mr. Tomasz Lukaszuk Advisor, UITM and Former Ambassador of Poland to India and Hon'ble Mr. H. Nagaraj Economic Advisor, to the Honorary Consul General of Lithuania and the session was moderated by Dr. Justin Nelson Michael, Director, Centre for Research, the session covered the areas of innovations, of the country Poland and Bangalore, it emphasized on the youngsters who have to innovate in the start- by applying theoretical knowledge into practical work. The importance of cryptocurrencies in contributing to successful planning was stated.

Plenary Session III was on the theme Trade and Investment. The panellists were Hon'ble Dr. Akkshye Tulsyan Honorary Consul, Namibia Hon'ble and Ms. Shabeena Sultana Honorary Consul, Tunisia. The session was moderated by Prof. Stephen Deepak, Coordinator, International & Domestic Relations Office. Both the panellist’s stated on the areas of respective countries contribution to Trade & Investment and how these steps help the county grow and be a self-reliant, thus making the overall topic summed up with real time examples, opportunities for youths in different domains that play a significant role.

Plenary Session IV was on the topic Global Health. The panellists were the Hon’ble Mr. Raghu C Rajappa Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Bengaluru Hon’ble and Prof. Agata Jurkowska-Gomułka Vice Chancellor, University of Information Technology and Management (UITM), Poland and the session was moderated by Prof. Sen B Mathews, Director, Centre for Employability and Corporate Relation (CECR). The session covered the initiatives of oxygen cylinders, emphasized on Being Healthy and overcoming the side effects of globalisation in the pandemic and the spread of viruses. Ma’am also shared her experience in public policy making on the topic of Global Health - health of population in worldwide context, understanding it for better health outcomes and eliminating health disparities which was approached through survey of IHME listing global health, like -Long COVID, Mental health, Climate change, cardiovascular disease and Lower respiratory Infection.
