Skill Development Activities

Skill Development Programmes are organized by the department every week. This will involve the Post Graduate students in various activities such as paper presentations, update on research, discoveries, biotech ventures, company profiles, quiz, mock interviews, laboratory skills, etc

Industrial / Institutional visits to different local and outstation industries, and hospital visits are organised on a regular basis to give the students first hand knowledge about the practices and activities in the industries / institutes and hospitals. Field visits are arranged for the students for collecting specimens from the natural environment for the purpose of in-house project work.

Conferences, seminars and workshops are organized annually. Invited talks involving experts in the fields of Life Sciences are organized frequently in an academic year. Programmes such as these facilitate one to one interaction with the experts from academic institutes and industry. The students are informed of the industry perspective during many such interactions.

Fests featuring competitions wherein undergraduate students compete individually and in groups are organized annually. This helps in enhancing apptitude, team work and leadership abilities among students. Such events involve the student in an innovative learning process
