Research Activities

Research is the backbone of science, in recent decades Psychology as a research field is getting renowned. Hence to encourage and inculcate research culture among students pursuing Psychology to get involved in Ph.D. and other research work a Research Centre in Psychology has been established under Bangalore University in June 2018. The department of Psychology provides a well-established laboratory with numerous and latest psychological assessments, instruments, and tools to carry out research activities, and to help students pursuing Psychology. The department is also encouraging qualitative, quantitative, and mixed researches in the areas of Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Positive Psychology, Educational Psychology, and various other application areas of Psychology. The department of psychology in collaboration with various organizations has conducted research activities to enrich the knowledge, to create research interest and aptitude among students, and to contribute to societal development through research extension.
