BSc Computer Science, Mathematics (CSMM)

The induction of Computer Science and Mathematics (CSMM) program, was introduced as part of the National Education Policy (NEP) in 2021 and is a dual major course designed to offer a solid foundation in both disciplines.

The Programme CSMM, which is a combination of Computer Science and Mathematics at Kristu Jayanti College offers a unique interdisciplinary approach, combining the strengths of both fields to equip students with a strong foundation in computational and analytical skills. The department focuses on fostering critical thinking, problem-solving, and innovative learning, and preparing students for diverse career opportunities in technology, research, and academia. By integrating computer science with mathematics, the department enhances students' abilities to tackle real-world challenges in a dynamic and evolving digital landscape.

Computer Science
Computer Science is an exciting, growing, challenging field that has revolutionized the world over the years. It has changed the very face of society. It has found a wide range of applications in different spheres of life which includes medicine, communications, automotive technology, weather forecasting, entertainment, mining, pharmacology, forensics, manufacturing, disaster recovery, security, law, business etc. With an overwhelming increase in the widespread usage and popularity, computer education has become inevitable for the common man.

Our society is becoming increasingly dependent on technology for every aspect of our lives, from business to social interaction and beyond increasing the demand for graduates in every industry in a wide range of capacities. Students choose to major in computer science for a variety of reasons.
