UNAI HUB for SDG10 Photography Competition
Date: 09 April 2026
The UNAI Hub for Sustainable Development Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities) at Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be) University successfully organized a Photography Competition on 9th April 2026. The event was conducted at the A1 Auditorium, Administrative Block, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.

The competition was designed to encourage students to creatively express themes related to inequality, inclusion, and social justice through the medium of photography. It provided a platform for participants to critically engage with the objectives of SDG 10 while showcasing their artistic perspectives.

A total of 82 students, comprising members of the SDG Club, actively participated in the event. The enthusiastic involvement of the participants reflected their awareness and commitment towards addressing issues of inequality and promoting inclusive development.

The event fostered creativity, critical thinking, and social sensitivity among students. It also contributed to strengthening the role of the UNAI Hub in promoting experiential learning and student engagement aligned with global sustainable development goals.

Overall, the Photography Competition was a meaningful and impactful initiative that successfully combined artistic expression with social awareness, reinforcing the university’s commitment to the principles of equity and inclusivity.

Videography Competition
Date: 04 to 08 April 2026
The UNAI Hub for SDG 10 (Vice-Chair for Teaching and Education), organized a Videography Competition for SDG student club members as part of its academic and engagement initiatives for the year 2025–2026.

The competition invited students to create short videos based on any of the Sustainable Development Goals, encouraging them to explore real-world issues and present innovative perspectives through visual media. The event was open from April 4 to April 8, 2026, allowing participants sufficient time to conceptualize, create, and submit their entries.

The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across disciplines, showcasing creativity, awareness, and strong storytelling abilities. The entries reflected diverse themes such as equality, environmental sustainability, education, and social justice.

The results were officially announced on April 9, 2026, during the Valedictory Ceremony of the Student SDG Club (2025–2026), where the efforts and talents of the participants were recognized and appreciated.

Digital Poster Making Competition
Date: 02 to 06 April 2026
The SDG Hub of Kristu Jayanti Deemed to be University successfully organized a Digital Poster Making Competition on Sustainable Development Goals in the month of April, from the 2nd to the 6th, for the students associated with the SDG Hub.The competition aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals and to encourage them to express their ideas creatively through digital media. Around 15 students actively participated in the event, showcasing their artistic skills and thoughtful perspectives on various global issues related to sustainability, equality, and development.The posters were evaluated based on creativity, relevance to the theme, clarity of message, and overall presentation. The participants demonstrated commendable effort in visually representing significant global challenges in an impactful manner.Prizes were awarded to the best posters in recognition of their outstanding creativity and meaningful representation of the theme. The competition was a great success, fostering awareness and engagement among students towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Photography contest- Commemorating International Day of Zero Waste
Date: 30 March 2026
To commemorate the International Day of Zero Waste, the UNAI Hub for SDG 10, at Kristu Jayanti Deemed to be University, Bengaluru, organised a photography contest on 30th March 2026, for UG and PG students, encouraging creative reflection on sustainability. Participants submitted compelling images highlighting waste reduction, recycling, and responsible consumption in daily life. The theme for the contest was ‘Zero waste starts on your plate’. Entries demonstrated both artistic skill and environmental awareness among students. The event fostered dialogue on sustainable practices and inspired students to adopt responsible habits and promote sustainability.

Extension Activity- Kits of Care Visit to Migrant Settlement, Kothanur
Date: 31 October 2026
The UNAI Hub for SDG 10 in collaboration with the Department of English, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Kristu Jayanti University Bengaluru, organised an extension activity titled “Kits of Care” on 31st October, 2025, at the Migrant Settlement in Kothanur. The activity aimed to foster educational support and social responsibility among students. The main objectives of the initiative included promoting literacy by providing basic learning materials to underprivileged children, sensitising college students to community needs, and strengthening the bond between the institution and the local neighbourhood. The “Kits of Care” activity promoted educational support and social responsibility by providing essential stationery to underprivileged children. With contributions from the MA English Literature 2025 Alumni Batch, 22 volunteers from I MA English and the SDG club distributed Rs. 720 worth of materials to 35 children. The initiative fostered empathy and teamwork among volunteers, strengthened community ties, and encouraged children’s enthusiasm for learning.
