The inception of the Writers’ Association coincides with the Silver Jubilee of Kristu Jayanti College. The association aims to nurture and promote creative and critical literary expressions among its members. To any student interested in the marvellous ways in which language works, the platform provides an opportunity to explore and enhance their writing abilities. The association organizes workshops to offer training and suggestions to improve the members’ skills and a platform to present their work to peers and mentors, followed by discussions and critiquing. The association also hosts a blog and publishes a monthly newsletter, allowing the members to showcase their work and engage with a wider world of like-minded individuals. We aim to provide a flourishing platform for students who tend to keep away from the stage but are keen to work closely in the quietude of literary engagement, irrespective of their discipline. The association plans to bring forth student publications including poetry, stories, and articles. Through its activities, the association envisions cultivating empathetic, compassionate, and ethical mind-sets that operate on shared human values.
