International Conference on State and Administration Through the Lens of Bharatiya Knowledge System
Department of Political Science, Kristu Jayanti College organized a two-day International Conference from 26/03/2025 to 27/03/2025 on “State and Administration Through the Lens of Bharatiya Knowledge System” in collaboration with Karnataka Samskrit University, Bangalore. The conference took place in a hybrid mode and consisted of a total of five Technical Sessions. The inaugural ceremony was set in motion by the presence of the Chief Guest - Dr. Ramesh Rao, Professor and Graduate Coordinator, Department of Communication, Columbus State University, Georgia, USA. Alongside, the event was graced by the presence of the Guest of Honor, Dr. S.Ahalya, Vice-Chancellor, Karnataka Samskrit University. The ceremony was enriched with the presence of Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine George, Principal, Kristu Jayanti College and Dr. Gopakumar AV, Dean, Faculty of Humanities. Father delivered the presidential address and emphasized the character of inclusivity and sustainability in Bharatiya Knowledge System.
The five technical sessions of the conference were steered by various prominent academics including Shri Arjun Bharadwaj, Contributing Editor, Preksha Preksha Pratisthana Bangalore, Dr. K.E. Srivenkatanathan, Head, Dept. of Nyaya and Vaisheshika, Deputy Director of Research Wing, Karnataka Samskrit University, Bangalore, Shri Krishna Maheswari, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Hindupedia, California and Dr. Vithal Potdar, Senior Research Associate, The Mythic Society, Bangalore. Various aspects of Bharatiya Knowledge System including the ones on its connectivities with higher education, health, gender, indigenous knowledge and colonial narratives were discussed. Overall, the conference acted as a platform for students and researchers to explore the epistemological narratives related to Bharatiya Knowledge System.
