MA Public Administration

MA in Public Administration, based on Credit Based Semester System (CBSS), is a four-semester programme. This course enlightens the learners on various administrative theories, processes, methods etc. It addresses the socio-political issues which are the core concepts of Public Administration in the country. On completion of this course, the learner will get a good grounding in the background conditions in which policies are formulated. It also develops administrative skills and learns about the mechanism of government and its agencies.

MA in Public Administration programme will enable the learner to use social science tools and engage in policy analysis on everyday and long-term problems confronting government and communities within countries and the world at large. The programme will also provide professional and ethical competence to do basic research including citing sources, developing critical thinking about public policy issues and the ability to conduct professional analyses of bureaucratic processes, and social, political, and economic structures. The learners will acquire a strong ability to analyse complex problems, especially during crises and recommend rationally. Furthermore, they will develop a high degree of decision-making skills, communication skills, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills, cognitive and interdisciplinary skills.

Eligibility:
Political Science / Public Administration Graduates: Candidates who have secured 50% in the aggregate of all subjects (45% for SC/ ST candidates from Karnataka) and 50% marks in the cognate subject in the qualifying University examinations are eligible to apply.

The college and its offices will remain closed from 23rd to 25th December 2024 due to end-semester vacation. |
