The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr.Sreedhara P.D Head of the Hindi Department highlighting the importance of the Hindi Language and its contributions at the globle level. Reverend Father Dr.Joshi Mathew,Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, extended his greetings to all the Faculty Members on world Hindi Day and emphasized the globle significance of the Hindi Language.
The chief guest of the event “Dr.Tariq Khan officer incharge of the National translation National translation mission Central Institute of Indian languages, addressed the gathering and shed light on the importance of Hindi, it's contribution to translation work, some common elements of basic translation tasks and the rich History of the Indian language”. His inspiring speech encouraged the students and teachers.
