The value of a good teacher can never be overstated. They do more than just teach and instruct. They guide, support, inspire and encourage. They mould minds and shape thinking. The students of Kristu Jayanti College recognise this and are tremendously proud and blessed to have a sincere and dedicated teaching fraternity. These teachers are valued for their skill, proficiency and patient efforts in guiding every student placed in their classroom. To appreciate their contributions, Teacher's Day is celebrated each year for students to express their love and gratitude to their phenomenal teachers.

On this day, the students host a program to celebrate their teachers, but this program is brought to life by the active participation and dynamic performances put up by the faculty members of various departments to entertain their students.

On 5th September 2024, Kristu Jayanti College celebrated Teachers' Day with a special program, providing students the opportunity to express their gratitude towards their teachers. The event began at 1:00 p.m. in the Jubilee Auditorium, Administration Block, with an invocation by the faculty choir. Fr. Dr. Augustine George delivered a heartfelt Teachers' Day address, offering words of wisdom that deeply resonated with the teaching community. Four esteemed faculty members were honored with the LMS Champion Award, recognizing their outstanding contributions. Additionally, teachers from the deaneries of Sciences, Commerce and Management, Humanities, Kristu Jayanti College of Law, Music, Sports, and the administrative staff were recognized for their invaluable role in the institution’s growth. Their contributions, particularly in research, were celebrated with individual pictures displayed during the event. The celebration continued with 16 vibrant cultural performances, showcasing the diverse talents of the faculty and administrative staff from various departments. This lively and colorful display embodied the spirit of unity and celebration, serving as a heartfelt tribute to the dedicated teaching community of Kristu Jayanti College.

On the 5th of September, Kristu Jayanti College conducted a programme to commemorate Teachers’ Day and to allow students to express their gratitude to teachers. The programme began at 2 p.m. in the Jubilee Auditorium, Administration Block, with an invocation by the faculty choir. The welcome address was delivered by Ms Devayani Pandey, General Secretary of the Student Council, following which the felicitation was conducted for the management members and deans. The presidential address delivered by Fr. Dr. Augustine George was inspiring for the teaching community and his words of wisdom created impact. Four distinguished faculties were bestowed the LMS Champion Award. Further, the teachers of the deanery of Sciences, Commerce and Management, Humanities, Kristu Jayanti College of Law, Music, Sports, and Administrative staff were felicitated with their pictures displayed for their valuable contributions to the institution’s growth. The grand tapestry of the event further unfurled with an exquisite ensemble of 18 cultural performances, showcasing the multifaceted talents of our energetic educators, representing various academic departments and administrative roles. This mesmerizing spectacle painted a vivid tableau of unity and festivity, a true homage to the esteemed teaching community that constitutes the vibrant tapestry of Kristu Jayanti College.

The Teachers’ Day celebrations at Kristu Jayanti College were conducted at the Quadrangle on 5th September 2022. It was organised and conducted by the Literary and Cultural Association of the college, where the students witnessed the vibrant staff transform the college quadrangle into a multicultural gala.

The programme commenced with a prayer led by Prof. Sevuga Pandian and a welcome note by the student from the current MBA Batch, Ms. Risha Samuel, who welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine George acknowledged the teachers and their dedication to their profession. The students presented the Fathers and faculty of each department, with handmade gifts to show their love and appreciation.

Prof. Vijay Kumar, a charismatic personality from the Department of Commerce, was the MC for the informal session. While Prof. Ratheesh and team had the crowd grooving to the iconic chenda melam, Prof. Sevuga Pandian, Dr. Siva Subramanian, Mr. Paulson and others led the solo music performances. The Department of professional accounting and finance had a mashup of various songs that excited the audience. The group dances were led by the Life Sciences, English, Computer Sciences, Commerce and Management and Psychology Departments. There were numerous solo dance performances and group shows as well.

The celebrations came to an end by 6 pm and left the students with memories that will remain etched in their hearts forever.

Kristu Jayanti College conducted Teacher's Day celebration on 6th September 2021 to honour and celebrate the dedication and service of the teachers at Kristu Jayanti. The celebration was held in the SKE auditorium, following all COVID protocols, and was simultaneously telecast live on YouTube. In the inaugural address, Rev. Fr. Augustine George thanked all the teachers for wonderful support, dedication and support amidst challenging times.The cultural events put up by the teachers and administrative staff added colour and vibrancy to the celebration. An eclectic mix of cultural programmes followed the formal inaugural function. Singing, dancing and skit performances were joyfully put together by teachers of all the departments at Kristu Jayanti. The group dance performances were put up by the departments of Life Sciences, Psychology, Management, English, Commerce, Computer Science, Media Studies among others. Several faculty and administration staff added a tune of joy through their singing performances. Prof. Sevuga Pandian, Mr. Paulson & group, Prof Swathi & more brought in huge applauses for their singing.

Kristu Jayanti College, celebrated Teachers’ Day to commemorate and appreciate the efforts and dedication of the teachers. Rev. Dr Augustine George, Principal, in his speech said, “teachers’ contributions are not limited to academics alone, they support and guide students in this pandemic period also while students are at home. Kristu Jayanti College is a place where all the departments come together with one mission, vision and stand united as a whole with one goal”. All the teachers were honoured by virtual wishes from the students of various departments for their commitment and dedication to the cause of education.

The felicitation was followed by the cultural performance of varied variety, colours and flavours both virtual and live performed by the faculty. This year the Teachers’ Day programme was streamed Live for the benefit of all the Jayatians who could not be physically present.

The Literary and culture Association of Kristu Jayanti College celebrated Teachers Day on 16th September 2019. The event was aimed at recognizing the consistent and tireless efforts of the entire teaching and non-teaching fraternity of the college.

Rev. Fr.Josekutty P.D Principle, Kristu Jayanti College delivered the presidential address. Father acknowledged the commitment and sacrifice of the entire teaching fraternity of the college and encouraged them to press on in their good work as extraordinary teachers.

There was active participation and dynamic performances put up by the faculty members of various departments to entertain the students.

The Teachers Day Celebrations were held on the 18th of September, 2018. The event was aimed at recognizing the consistent and tireless efforts of the entire teaching and non teaching fraternity of the college. The felicitation of the teachers took place followed by a video expressing the gratitude of students towards their teachers. Teachers displayed their talents in a spectacular way which was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all.

On the occasion of teacher’s day celebration was held on 5th September 2017, Fr Josekutty PD, Principal said, “teacher’s contributions are not limited to academics alone, they support and guide students with the various programs and events that take place in the college.” All the teachers were felicitated by student coordinators of various departments for their commitment and dedication to the cause of education.

Followed by which the teachers conquered the stage with their spectacular cultural performance of varied variety, colors and flavors. It was an enthralling experience for the student audience to see another dimension of their faculty, beaming with talent and creativity.

‘A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination and instill love for learning’. The students of Kristu Jayanti College recognise this and are tremendously proud and blessed to have such dedicated teaching fraternity. This year we celebrated teachers day on 6th September, 2016. The hidden talents of the teachers were identified and they brought life to the program by their active participation.

Teachers are the core heart of the education system, they mould young minds and constantly guide and inspire them. To appreciate their contributions, teachers day for the academic year 2015-16 was celebrated on 5th September, 2015. On this day, teachers from our college perform various acts and creates an environment of excitement among students.
