The Centre For Social Activities in collaboration with Jayantian Extension Services, Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bengaluru has organized an event called "Prashamsha" on 6th May 2023. The purpose of this event was to express gratitude to the final year students of CSA volunteers for their invaluable contributions to the success of the Centre for Social Activities at Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous).

The formal session commenced with the presence of Fr. Jais V Thomas, who was invited as the Chief Guest, along with Prof. Shashi Kumar, the faculty coordinator of the Centre for Social Activities, Prof. Chandrashekar, and the student coordinators of the Centre for Social Activities, Mr. Shashank R and Ms. Spandana M. Ms Sarah Braganza has welcomed the audiences and by Prof. Shashi Kumar has presented the Annual Report to highlight the activities conducted by the Centre for Social Activities during the Academic Year 2022-23.

Fr. Jais V Thomas delivered the farewell address, emphasizing the pivotal role that the Centre for Social Activities plays in solving social issues, raising awareness, and conducting events for the empowerment of society. The student coordinators also shared their experiences, expressing gratitude and thankfulness for the opportunity to lead the Centre for Social Activities, and recounting the memories and lessons learned during their journey.

During the event, Fr. Jais V Thomas awarded the winners of Yuva Milan, which was then followed by awarding "The Best Camp Volunteers" award to Nakka Anush and Nancy Sharma, and the "The Best Outgoing Volunteers" award was presented to Shashank R and Spandana M. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mr Ram Prakash K R, who thanked the entire Centre for Social Activities for their hard work and dedication.

Prashamsa - An Appreciation To Outgoing Csa Volunteers

Centre for Social Activities of Kristu Jayanti College had organized “PRASHAMSA”- an appreciation for the outgoing volunteers on 29th February 2020. Prashamsa was organized to felicitate the outgoing CSA volunteers for their service rendered to the society at large. Volunteer’s seniority and commitment towards the society and various programs of CSA were greatly appreciated. The formal session began with a prayer service. Prof. Chandrasekar N, presented annual report of Centre for Social Activities and Rev. Fr. Emmanuel P J, the Director of Jayantian Extension Services appreciated all the volunteers for their noble service rendered to the society and awarded were presented for the outstanding volunteers. Father advised students to take right decision in future and blessed the students for their future career. Emphasis was given with regard to the importance of the various programs of Centre for Social Activities. Prof. Manjunath S, coordinator and other faculty members blessed the final year volunteers The CSA student coordinators, Ms. Apoorva and Mr. Uday kumar shared their experience. The outgoing students were awarded as: Best outgoing volunteer, Best volunteer and Department coordinators etc.

The informal session, which was hosted by Ms. Navya and Mr. Adithya by performing various dance, singing, games etc. The final year participants actively participated in games and had great fun and there was an event held for the outgoing students who were awarded with small gifts and finally there was a dance performance by the final year students and second year students. The program was concluded by serving refreshments to all the CSA volunteers and faculty members.

Prashamsa 2019 was held on 1 March 2019. It is an appreciation to the senior volunteers for their service and efforts in the last 3 years of their CSA journey. The event had 2 sessions: formal and informal. Almost 120 CSA volunteers are participated .

The “Prashamsa 2018”, the farewell programme for the volunteers of CSA organized by Center for Social Activities of Kristu Jayanti College was conducted on 18th January 2018. The winners of various competitions including the paper presentation held by CSA in association with Jagruth were awarded with mementos. All the senior outgoing volunteers who completed their great service as volunteers for three and two years were awarded with laurels of appreciation and certificate of merit.

The programme was scheduled on 27th march at 4pm in Mini Audi 2. The annual report was presented by Prof. Preeti S. The presidential address by Rev. Fr. Josekutty P. D contained inspiring words and appreciation for the events conducted by CSA. 20 programmes were conducted by CSA this year. He appreciated the team work and coordination among the members. The students’ feedback was given by Nakka Solomon Prashanth and Silpa Babu Thadathil. They showered their gratitude towards their seniors and the present juniors for all the support, the faculty members for all the guidance and the management of KJC for the opportunity. Every outgoing student was appreciated with a certificate.

Prashamsa is an appreciation program for outgoing volunteers of Centre for Social Activities. The program was organized on 11th April 2016 in mini audi-1 at 3.30 pm. Rev.Fr. Josekutty P D, Principal appreciated the volunteers. Mr. Manjunath S, Ms. Preethi S J G, Mr. Chandrashekar, Mr. Ragavendrra Babu Staff coordinators, Lt. Sarvesh NCC officer, Dr. Shreedhar PD NSS Program officer, Mr. Narayanaswami, SOP Coordinator were present for the occasion. Various awards were presented and 58 volunteers received appreciation certificate. 1st year and 2nd year performed various cultural programs and at the end refreshments were provided.
