Inaugurations of Academic Year & Orientation Sessions for All 2nd & 3rd Undergraduate Programmes and 2nd Postgraduate Programmes

The inauguration of the new academic year ‘Shubh Arambh’ for the final year and second year undergraduate and postgraduate students of BA, B.Com, BBA, BCA and BSc programme was conducted at Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore from July 22nd to July 24th 2024 at the Jubilee Hall and SKE Auditorium. The orientation programme was organized and conducted by the Literary and Cultural Association along with the support of the teaching faculty from the respective deaneries. It provided the students with a renewed understanding of the Jayantian code of conduct and assessment methods. In the inaugural address Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine George, Principal, Kristu Jayanti College, insisted on the innovative pedagogy and boundary less class room education.
He stressed on the importance of upholding Indian values for the holistic development and urged students to focus on skill enhancement through the college’s resources. Emphasizing on the discipline and a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging, Fr. Principal encouraged the students to embrace responsibility of their life and wished them a productive year ahead. Fr. Principal concluded his inaugural address by advising students to join hands to transform themselves and achieve their goal. He envisioned the student community by highlighting the healthy practices of our college and how it plays a pivotal role in shaping their academic and personal endeavours. He firmly insisted that no student should act as a hindrance to the academic culture and also to the healthy ambience of our campus and they should adhere to the Jayantian Code of Conduct. The inaugural sessions were followed by department-wise orientation sessions and also orientation by the exam office.
Shubh Aarambh Inuaguration Of Academic Year & Orientation Sessions All First Year Undergraduate Programmes

Shubh Arambh 2023 for all first year students was conducted in by the Literary and Cultural Association of Kristu Jayanti College, Bangalore in collaboration with the deaneries from 31st July 2023 to 2nd August 2023. The programme began auspiciously by the lighting of lamp by the dignitaries on the dais. Fr. Lijo P Thomas, Vice Principal & Chief Finance Officer, delivered the introductory prayer, followed by readings from the Holy Scriptures. Nine intercessory prayers were offered during the inauguration to seek blessings for treading on to new paths of righteousness. Fr. Emmanuel PJ, Director, Kristu Jayanti College of Law, Director, Office of International and Domestic Relations offered the concluding prayer. Fr. Dr. Augustine George, Principal, Kristu Jayanti College, delivered the Inaugural Address in which he heartily welcomed the first-year students and emphasized having the best quality framework. He envisioned the student community by highlighting the healthy practices of our college and how it plays a pivotal role in shaping their academic and personal endeavours. Shubh Aarambh is the annual inauguration of the academic year and induction programme organized by the Literary and Cultural Association in Kristu Jayanti college. Shubh Aarambh for the first year students, which marks the beginning of a new academic year, was scheduled on August 8th, 10th and 11th, 2022 in two different venues. The students were given orientation sessions on Jayantian Code of Conduct, Centres and Facilities, Examination Process, optimal usage of the exclusive Learning Managaement System at KJC and the CMI vision.
The inauguration and orientation sessions for BA, BCom, BBA, BCA and BSc first year students were conducted simultaneously in SKE auditorium and M1 auditorium. The prayer and inaugural session was followed by Principal Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine proceeding address the faculty and students with a hearty welcome. He reminded everyone about the milestones that the college achieved by mentioning some of the great recognitions that the institution managed to earn though hard work and dedication within a very short span of time.
In his address he spoke of heralding in Education 4.0, his vision for a technology integrated and learner oriented knowledge environment which would effectively lead to the transformation and transcendence of the students to the next level of achievement. He highlighted the need to be confident, responsible for your choices and respectful in order to achieve success so that they may strive forward with courage and make themselves and the college proud. He concluded his words by quoting the words of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara “The day you won’t do any good things, would not be counted in the days of your life”. The Shubh Arambh at Kristu Jayanti ensured that the new academic year began on a positive note for all.

While highlighting the accomplishments as we begin the new academic year of the KJC team as champions at the Bangalore North University tournaments in both football and basketball, Fr. Principal urged the students to keep carrying forward the banner of Kristu Jayanti to greater heights. The inauguration of the new academic year ‘Shubh Arambh’ for the first year students was organized on 15th and 16th September. Principal Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine welcomed and addressed the new batch of students. While highlighting the accomplishments, success stories and achievements made by Jayantians, Fr. Augustine motivated the students to make use of the opportunities provided at Kristu Jayanti to fulfill their true potential. Shubh Aarambh -Inauguration of The Academic Year & Reorientation Programmes 2021-22

Shubh Aarambh is an auspicious event organized by Literary and Cultural Association of Kristu Jayanti College which marks the beginning of the new academic year. This academic year, the event was scheduled on August 5th, 6th,7th 2021 over three different venues on Reorientation on Jayantian Code of Conduct, Centres, Facilities and Reorientation on Examination Process, for III year, II Year UG Programmes, III Sem PG and V Sem MCA Programmes.
In the inaugural address the principal Rev Fr. Dr. Augustine George appreciated the faculties and students for the cooperation showed throughout the year faced with many setbacks due to the ongoing pandemic. He also announced the theme that the management invented for the academic year tilted "Reinventing Educational Process Through Technological Integration" and suggested students to acquire the qualities of adaptability, agility and adroit. He concluded his words by quoting the words of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, "The day you won't do any good things would not be counted in the days of your life".

Shubh Aarambh is the inauguration of the academic year and induction programme for the first, second and third year students, organized by the Literary and Cultural Association of Kristu Jayanti College which marks the beginning of a new academic year. This academic year, the event was scheduled on 18th & 19th August and for the first years it was scheduled on the 2nd & 3rd September2020 through Zoom platform with 6 different sessions on Inauguration, Reorientation on Jayantian Code of Conduct, Centres & Facilities, KJC LMS Orientation Online Etiquettes, and Orientation on NEP- 2020.
In his inaugural address the principal, Rev. Dr. Augustine George emphasized the four core values of our college – Faith, Integrity, Dignity and Excellence (FIDE) He embarked the ranking of the college in National and International forum and listed with pride the various awards and nominations of the college, possible with the guidance of department Heads and Faculty members, and with the support of the Jayantians. He also showered his gratitude on the faculty members whose initiative and commitment made the online classes conduct possible and further announced the new developments of the College, the themes, vision and also welcomed the new addition to the Kristu Jayanti family.

The sessions on Life Skills gave a gist on the ten essential skills to become a better human being.
