Stationery Distribution: Enhancing Community Support

The Centre for Social Activities (CSA) and Jayantian Extension Services (JES) of Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous) has organized an event on 23rd February, 2024, to distribute various stationaries among the community children. In this event 35 neighbouring community children have participated and various stationery items like Pencil, Pen, Color Box, Drawing Book and Note Book were distributed among them.
Uniform Distribution to Migrant Children

The Centre for Social Activities (CSA), and Jayantian Extension Services (JES), Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bengaluru conducted a uniform distribution session for students of the Community Education Programme on January 11, 2023. The occasion was graced by Rev. Fr. Dr. Augustine George, Principal, Kristu Jayanti College; Fr. Jais. V. Thomas, Director, Jayantian Extension Services, Financial Administrator, Kristu Jayanti College; alongside Mr Phillips Vice-president of Innovation, Global and Academic Partnerships, Trinity Western University who handed out uniforms to the school children.
Community Education Programme is a flagship programme of CSA, that was started in the academic year 2019-20. The initiative aims to eradicate illiteracy among migrant construction workers by providing supplementary education to underprivileged children. Addressing the volunteers, Fr. Jais. V. Thomas spoke about the purpose of the Community Education program and extended the management’s support in nurturing the holistic development of the school children.
Books Donation to Aanur Digital Library

The Centre for Social Activities, Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous, Bengaluru in collaboration with the Rotract Club, Bengaluru has conducted an event on donating books to Aanur Digital Library, Aanur. The Primary Development Officer of Aanur Gram Panchayat was overwhelmed by the activities conducted by the CSA volunteers in the holistic development of the students at Aanur High School. To give more exposure to the students in the field of education, she requested Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous, Bengaluru to donate those books which might help the students to achieve excellence in their academics. The Faculty Co-Ordinator Prof. Shashi Kumar and the faculty in charge Prof. Chandra Shekar of Centre for Social Activities, Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous, Bengaluru had accepted and acknowledged their request by sending more books that will help the students of Aanur High School to gain higher insights about their academic subjects. The CSA Club had donated 185 books to Aanur Digital library. This event will reflect that the CSA club of Kristu Jayanti College, Autonomous, Bengaluru, is striving towards the upliftment of students in Rural areas.
