Kristu Jayanti Dance Academy has been providing me with endless opportunities to live my passion throughout the year. Being one of the first members of the academy I could know the roots and growth of this academy, the struggle and patience of our management, teachers, team members and secretaries are remarkable. We were provided with choreographers to learn and grow every day, representing our college for various inter-college fests has brought a lot of exposure to each one of us. We were given an opportunity to discover and portray the international styles through a dance concert Nrityadarpan'24. Also very grateful and happy to be coordinating for our very own fest Nrityanjali'24. We were given the space and freedom to choreograph and explore our own talent.
On the whole the academy has strengthened our confidence and passion, the recognition we get both inside-out college after each and every event of Kristu Jayanti College is unexpressive. I am truly grateful for being part of this academy.

KJDA wasn't just a dance team, it was the culmination of 15 years of relentless passion. Every waking moment, from school bells to the quiet of my room, was spent dancing. So, landing a spot on the team at KJC felt like the spotlight finally finding me, a dream realised. KJDA rekindled my enthusiastic spirit. Collaborating with such a supportive and cooperative classical dance team, while choreographing most of the pieces, was an incredible gift. It wasn't without its challenges, though. My first year juggling four different choreographies was a whirlwind of creative hurdles, especially since contemporary choreography was entirely new territory for me as a Bharatanatyam dancer. It was incredibly rewarding.
Nrityadarpan stands out as a turning point. We were all pushed outside our comfort zones, tasked with mastering the art of Sufi. It was a moment of pure ownership, a chance to truly "own it our way." KJDA gave me friends like family, super supportive coordinators and seniors, a home in College.
