Samyagdarshan - College Annual Day
“Samyagdarshan,” the 25th College Annual Day was celebrated on April 19, 2024. Prof. Dr. Ahalya Sharma, Vice Chancellor, Karnataka Sanskrit University, Bengaluru was the esteemed Chief Guest. The other distinguished personalities on the dais along with the Chief Guest were Dr. Suba G A Manuel, the Parent Representative and Head Department of Life Sciences, Mount Carmel College; Fr. Dr. Augustine George, Principal, Kristu Jayanti College Autonomous, Fr. Dr. Lijo P Thomas, Vice Principal; Fr. Emmanuel P. J, Director, Kristu Jayanti College of Law, Dr. Gopakumar AV, Dean, Faculty of Humanities; Prof. Dr. Calistus Jude, Dean, Faculty of Sciences and Dr. Aloysius Edward, Dean, Faculty of Commerce and Management.
The program began with an inspiring inaugural video followed by invocation by the choir team led by KJMA. Prof. Dr. Calistus Jude, Dean, Faculty of Sciences delivered the welcome address. Fr. Dr. Augustine George, Principal, presented the annual academic report titled "Trans Disciplinary Capabilities for Transformative Education," showcasing the college's outstanding accomplishments for the year 2023-24. Professor Ahalya Sharma delivered the inaugural address with her thought provoking words on the achievements of college, the changing generation and value systems and coined the acronym "KRISTU" for the values which students should imbibe, such as – kindness, regulation, interpersonal skills, spirituality, trust, truth, and individuality. Professor Suba G A Manuel, Head, Department of Life Sciences, Mount Carmel College and parent representative talked about the academic excellence achieved by our college. The formal program ended with the vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Guda Divija Reddy, Vice President, Student Council.
The informal session began from 11.15 AM with the cultural extravaganza by students at the main stage at the Quadrangle. Around 47 teams performed on the day of Samyagdarshan. The Miss and Mister awards had been awarded to the best outgoing students of the college namely, Ms Gitika Prakash, from VI Semester BA English, and Mr Rohan Agarwal, from VI Semester BCA.

‘Samyagdarshan 2023’, the College Annual Day, Kristu Jayanti College was celebrated with a host of cultural performances in the institution premises on Saturday, April 29, 2023. On the same occasion six established former students were given Alumin Achievement Awards for their significant contribution to the society.
Dr Neelima Gupta, Vice Chancellor, Dr Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Madhya Pradesh was the chief guest for Samyagdarshan 2023. Addressing the gathering Dr Neelima Gupta, Vice Chancellor, talked about the significance of National Education Policy and its impact on the education system. “Through NEP we could switch to multidisciplinary courses apart from the regular Arts, Science and Commerce programme. Many multi-disciplinary courses have been included within universities due to NEP. Resources can also be actively shared amongst national and regional institutions through MoUs for qualitative and quantitative research output.”
Dr Gupta also talked about the importances of skill development amongst students and the role of the teachers in enhancing and supporting the ideas of young students. “Teachers must uphold the ideas of students, promote them and disseminate them into society while sharing these ideas,” Gupta pointed out.
Dr Gupta appreciated the inclusion of parent representative during the college annual day and acknowledging the alumni from KJC on the same occasion. This indicates the steps taken towards the holistic development approach by the Institution, the Vice Chancellor said.
Presenting the Annual Report on the occasion of Samyagdarshan 2023, Fr Dr Augustine George, Principal, Kristu Jayanti College Autonomous announced that the Institution had been featured among the top five best emerging colleges in Karnataka and had also figured in the list of top 150 colleges in the country as per the NIRF Ranking. The Principal also pointed out that KJC was the United Nations Academic Impact Hub for SDG goals for the second time and had conducted the G20 University Connect International Conclave during the present academic year.
Mr Mohammed Hayath, Pre Sales Leader, Systems Engineering for South India at VMware, the parent representative, pointed out that KJC securing A++ grade by National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC) sums it all about the academic quality and achievement of the institution. Mr Hayath said, “The set of core values in Kristu Jayanti College along with the academic achievement was the main reason why we chose our daughter to study here. The sound core values instilled by the college are the pillars for students in the professional and personal milestones”.
Alumni Achievements Awards were given away on the occasion to appreciate the contribution of alumni to their alma mater. Alumni Ms Niby Jacob Elackatt was presented with Entrepreneurship Award, Mr Vivin David Varghese with Societal Development Award, Mr James TJ with Corporate Career Award, MR Vimal Kumar VP with Art, Literature and Sports Awards, Dr Sonia Katherin Mathew with Academics and Research Award and Mr John Mathai Paul with Entrepreneurship Award respectively on the college annual day.
The best outgoing student winners with the titles Mr and Miss Jayantian were Mr Aaron Joseph Thomas from final year B Com CMA and Ms Riya Raj from final year Forensic Science respectively.
Samyagdarshan – College Annual Day

Samyagdarshan – College Annual Day was conducted in the Quadrangle on 30th April 2022 and was presided over by the presence of all management, staff and students. The Chief Guest of the day was Shri. Kumar Naik, IAS. The welcome address was given by Prof. Shilpa Rao, LCA Faculty Coordinator. Rev. Dr. Augustine George presented the Annual Report of the college which highlighted all the major accolades and milestones achieved by the college in the academic year 2021-22. The Chief Guest in his address felicitated the success of Kristu Jayanti and expressed the need for constant innovation in education. The parent representative Ms. Mrinalini Dut also spoke, praising the opportunities and discipline that KJC is known for.
The college day then proceeded to showcase the talented skills of all the students who performed on stage. The college day also witnessed the Alumni Achievement Award 2022 where the alumni of the college were felicitated for their noteworthy achievements. The best outgoing students of every department were felicitated by the Principal. The best outgoing students decided through online poll – Mr. Jayantian & Ms. Jayantian were also revealed.
A day to remember- Samyagdarshan
On the 22nd of February 2020, the quadrangle of our college witnessed cheerful faces everywhere; it was Samyagdarshan- the annual college day. As the academic year draws to an end, the entire Kristu Jayanti Family comes together to celebrate on this day the fantastic year that has passed by. Samyagdarshan is the annual college day organized by the Literary and Cultural Association of the college, college day provides an opportunity to take a walk down the memory lane and celebrate the achievements of the college for the academic year.
The formal session commenced with the invocation song to seek the blessings of almighty god, followed by Rev. Fr Josekutty PD; Principal of Kristu Jayanti College presenting the annual report. The presentation of annual report of college activities is a special feature of the annual day function as it projects the achievements and accolades of our college.
The chief guest for the day was Dr. Dev Swarup, Additional secretary UGC; sir addressed the gathering and shared few words of wisdom.
After the eventful formal session it was time to delve into some music, dance and lots of fun. The students had an array of talents to display, there were 46 programs by the Jayantians from across deaneries, and students surprised the audience by their stupendous performance.
The College was abuzz, with great music and glee on the faces of all the students; as the students were enthusiastic to see their friends rock the stage. Each and every seat in the quadrangle was filled with eager and enthusiastic audience looking forward to seeing their best friends perform.
The cultural activities were performed by the students exhibited their hidden talent. The various activities performed for the occasion include dance, songs under different styles, musical performances and everything one wishes to watch. The students anchored different segments of the function with utmost confidence and ease.
The audience comprising of students, faculty, admin and support staffs enjoyed all the programmes. The Jayantians were highly jubilant and appreciated the performances of their friends by putting their hands together.
The annual College day Formal program was held on the 25th of February 2019. Rev.Fr Josekutty P.D,the Principal presented the annual report of the college. The Chief Guest for the college day was Mr. Verne Bragg, Regional Manaing Partner and Audit Practise Leader, Grant Thornton. Mr.Kenny Josh Eapen represented the parents. There were an display of 41 performances by the talented Jayantians. The number of participants were 390. During the programme, the title of Best outgoing students were conferred upon Mr. Johnny Baby and Ms. Christy Maria Antony.
The annual College day Formal program was scheduled at 9.30AM on the 3rd March 2018. Rev.Fr Josekutty P.D, the Principal presented the annual report of the college. The Chief Guest for the day was Sri Anirudh Sravan IAS, Commissioner of Entreprenurship and Livelyhood, Dept. of Skill Development, Government of Karnataka. The parent representative was Dr Ramesh, Principal, Karnataka College of Pharmacy .There were an array of 47 performances by the talented Jayantians.During the programme, the title of Best outgoing students were conferred upon Mr. Samson Esso and Ms Srividhya.
The annual College Day Formal program was scheduled on the 4th of March 2017. Rev.Fr Josekutty P.D, the Principal presented the annual report of the college. The Guest of Honour was Mr Bhatia who motivated the students with his inspirational talk. Mr Murugan, CEO, Fastmix represented the parents. There was an array of 41 performances by the talented Jayantians. The number of participants were 160. During the programme, the title of Best Outgoing Students were conferred upon Mr. Abraham Samuel Bokki and Ms. Gouri V.Nair
The annual College day was on the 2nd of April 2016. Rev.Fr Josekutty P.D, the Principal presented the annual report of the college. The Chief Guest was Padmashree Prof.N.R.Madhava Menon, the founding Vice Chancellor of National Law school of India University, Bengaluru and the chancellor of NUEPA, New Delhi addressed the gathering and disseminated his thoughts about law and public welfare. Mr P Sasidharan, Assisstant Accounts officer who represented the parents expressed his atmost satisfaction about the programmes. There was an array of 36 performances by the talented Jayantians. The number of participants was 165. During the programme, the title of Best outgoing students was conferred upon Mr. Melvin Sunny and Ms. Kikiyangla Longkumer.
