National Media Conclave organized by the Department of Media Studies

The Department of Media Studies, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Kristu Jayanti (Deemed to be University), organised its First National Media Conclave in collaboration with The Times of India (In Campus), bringing together leading professionals from journalism, filmmaking, animation, public relations, and creative industries. The day-long conclave provided a dynamic platform to examine emerging trends, technological shifts, ethical responsibilities, and evolving career opportunities within the Indian media and entertainment industry through expert-led sessions and discussions.

The conclave featured insightful sessions by award-winning filmmaker Natesh Hegde, investigative journalist Josy Joseph, AVGC industry expert A Bhavani Shankar Rao, and senior journalist Sujith John, who addressed themes ranging from socially rooted storytelling and research-driven journalism to digital disruption, artificial intelligence, and new media careers. The programme concluded with a panel discussion on emerging trends and challenges in the media and entertainment sector, highlighting the continued importance of ethics, credibility, adaptability, and responsible communication in shaping the future of media.
