(Integrating technology into the teaching and learning teaching processes is a great asset in reforming education. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has become the backbone of a global society and use of ICT in teaching-learning is one of the benchmarks of institutional excellence. ICT is changing every business and every individual in a profound way. It is inevitable for Higher Education Institutions to adopt and integrate latest technology in curriculum. The use of technology in classroom ensures a positive learning experience. Use of online resources, learning platforms and evaluation mechanisms has facilitated an effective transference of knowledge. Enrolment in online courses has been on a sharp rise since. The gap in Higher Education of India in terms of Access, Equity and Quality can be bridged through effective use of technology.
With this background, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college organizes its 8th National Conference on ‘Engendering Technological Excellence in Higher Education’ with the objective to explore how technology is changing the relationship between faculty and students and for sharing of experiences in the use of technology. The technical sessions of the conference emphasis focus on areas such as use of Information and Communication technology in curriculum, teaching and extension, institutional policies, benefits and barriers in use of technology.)
