  • June 30th

      For all UG & PG classes
      Tomorrow, July 01, 2016, being First Friday of the month, there will be Holy Mass at 12.00 noon in the Main Auditorium. All Catholic students are requested to attend the same.

      Students are hereby requested not to sit on the stairs in front of the Main Entrance of the College Main Block. It is also advised to avoid taking lunch sitting in front of the Main Gate.

      Students are advised not to bring any outsiders, including former classmates from previous Institution, to the college campus or the surroundings. If anybody happens to meet outsiders in the campus, please do inform HOD/Deans/ Rev. Fathers.

      There will be a prayer meeting in the CMI Ashram Chapel today (30/06/2016) at 3.30 pm.

      For all UG & PG International students
      There will be a meeting of International students today (30/06/2016) at 3.30 pm in Main Auditorium (1st Floor - UG Block).

      For all UG classes
      There will be selection trails for students who wish to join the College Volleyball Team (Men) at 4.15 pm in the college ground.

      KALAJYOTHI - the annual intra-collegiate Literary & Cultural Fest of our college is scheduled from 11th to 16th July 2016. The information about the events is available on the college website and is also displayed on the college notice board in the reception lobby. Some of the events have gospel categories also. Jayantians are encouraged to participate in the various literary, fine art, theatrical, music and dance events. Participation and winning in Kalajyothi events is a prerequisite for students to represent our college in the intercollegiate fests. Students should register their names with the respective class animators. The last date for registration is 5th July 2016. The preliminary rounds will be held on 7h and 8th July for music and dance events. Students who wish to use the classrooms for practice should inform and get the consent of the respective class animator and Head of the Department.

      For Final year MSW, B.Com (Sections B & P), BCA (Sections A & B), B.Sc (CSME, CSMS, BT & MB) students
      The Employability Enhancement Training Programme & a parallel session on Gate 2017 is scheduled to be held today for the following courses:

      The list of students selected for the college choir after the auditions on 27th July 2016 is displayed on the notice board. Choir practice sessions will commence from today (29/06/2016) in the Music Room - 5th floor PG Block at 3.40 p.m. All selected students and those who were part of the college choir during last academic year are requested to attend.

      The Department of Hindi of our college in collaboration with the Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, MADRAS (an institution of National Importance declared by the parliament by Act No. 14 of 1964) is conducting Hindi examinations for students who had taken Hindi as second language in their Pre-University classes. These examinations are approved by the Government of India.
      Benefits: Passing all the four semester examinations conducted by the above will fetch an additional approved Praveen Degree in Hindi equivalent to BA. Special classes will be conducted by the Dept. of Hindi. After Praveen, candidates are eligible to apply for B.Ed or MA (Hindi).       For UG I year classes
      Centre for Social Activities (CSA) is a wing of Jayantian Extension Services. Students enrolling for CSA will be eligible for extension credits. Interested students can submit duly filled enrollment form on or before 2nd July, 2016 to staff coordinator Mr. Manjunath S (Staff Room No. 5, 2nd Floor). Forms are available at stationery store at cafeteria.

      Students who are interested to join National Service Scheme (NSS) are requested to submit duly filled forms to Dr. Sreedhar P D, NSS Programme Officer (Staff Room No. 4, 2nd Floor). Forms are available at stationery store at cafeteria. Last date to submit the applications forms is 3rd July, 2016.

      Students who did not report to the college on the re-opening day should get a letter of permission from the class animator / HOD showing the number of days of absenteeism. Such students should register their names at the reception by paying Rs. 500/- per day of absenteeism and submit the duly filled leave letter form on or before 30/06/2016.

      Today (27/06/2016) there will be selection trials for students who wish to join the College Basketball team (Men).

      Time: 4.15 p.m.

      Kristu Jayanti College Gymnasium
      Kristu Jayanti College Gymnasium is set up in the 5th Floor of PG Block. Registrations are open. Interested students should register their names at the reception counters of the respective blocks. Registration is compulsory for using the facilities in the gym.
      Registration Details
      i.Registration fee for UG & PG students: Rs. 1500/- (Till the completion of current course)
      ii.Monthly fee: Rs. 300/- (has to be paid on or before 5th working day of the month)
      Timings:06.00 a.m. - 08.30 a.m.
      03.30 p.m. - 08.30 p.m.
      * Instructor will be available for guidance and training in the gym.
      * Defaulters of the monthly fees will be not allowed to use the gym facilities.

      For all UG classes
      The practice sessions for the college choir will commence from 1st July, 2016. The sessions are scheduled between 3.40 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and between 1.30 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. on Saturdays. Credits will be awarded for those who attend the practice sessions regularly. Students interested in joining the college choir will be selected after an audition scheduled today, (27/06/2016) in the Mini Auditorium II (3rd Floor, Main Block) at 3.40 p.m.


  • June 25th

      For all UG & PG classes
      From 27/06/2016 onwards there will be selection trials for students who wish to join the college team (Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Throwball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Athletics). Details are displayed on the college notice board.

      Students are hereby advised not to wander on the roads during the college hours. It is also advised not to attend any programmes/gatherings/activities in any unauthorized places.

      From 27/06/2016 onwards there will be selection trials for students who wish to join the college team (Basketball, Football, Volleyball, Cricket, Throwball, Badminton, Table Tennis and Athletics). Details are displayed on the college notice board.
