  • January 30th

      For all UG & PG classes
      Martyrs' Day
      The Martyrs' Day is observed annually on January 30, the day of Mahatma Gandhi's martyrdom. Silence is observed for two-minutes as a mark of respect to freedom fighters, who had made supreme sacrifice in the cause of our nation's freedom.
      We request Jayantians to observe two minutes silence from 11.00 am to 11.02 am. Students are requested to be seated in their respective classroom by 10.58 am. Those who do not have classes are requested to observe silence wherever they are in the campus at the stroke of the bell.

      Prathibha Puraskar Scholarship
      Prathibha Puraskar Scholarship is open for backward class students (Cat I, IIA, IIIA, IIIB).Students are requested to apply online. The last date to apply is 6th February 2016. Details are displayed on the college notice board. For further details please contact Counter No. 1(UG Office).

      KRISTU JAYANTI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (KJSS)
      (UG PROGRAMMES)
      KJSS was instituted to motivate and encourage the students who are outstanding in academics, co-curricular & extra-curricular activities and to help the students who are financially backward. KJSS has three categories.
      a. Jayantian Achievement Scholarship (JAS)
      b. Jayantian Talent Scholarship (JTS)
      c. Jayantian Upliftment Scholarship (JUS)

      The details are provided on the college notice board. Eligible students can obtain the application form at Counter No. 1 (UG Office). The duly filled form along with the supporting documents have to be submitted in the same counter on or before 13th February 2016.

      As the First Term Examination begins tomorrow at 2.00 pm there will be no regular classes during the morning session tomorrow (22/01/2016). The seating arrangement for tomorrow (22/01/2016) shall be different from that of the rest of days of First Term Examination.

      ALL UG CLASSES
      Supplementary Examination Results
      The results of students who applied for supplementary examinations are published online through our college website. Students can view their supplementary results by following the link “Examination àView Examination Results” provided in the home page of our college website.

      Revaluation Application
      The general guidelines for students who are willing to apply for revaluation is published in the Examination Office and College notice boards. The last date for application of revaluation is 25th January 2016.

      UG First Term Examination
      The Time Table for the First Term Examination January 2016 is published in the college notice board and the college website. Students are reminded to prepare well for the Term Examination. Late comers are not allowed to write the Term Examinations. Students are reminded to reach the campus by 9.00 am during the days of Term Examinations. Absenteeism will be seriously dealt with.

      For all UG & PG classes
      As per the Govt. rule, both the rider and pillion rider should wear helmet from January 12, 2016. All students are advised to take special care to follow traffic rules.

      Change in the Academic Calendar
      Saturday, February 13, 2016 (Second Saturday) will be a regular working day. Instead Saturday, February 27, 2016 will be a holiday.

      Saturday, March 12, 2016 (Second Saturday) will be a regular working day. Instead Wednesday March 23, will be a holiday.

  • January 14th

      For all UG classes
      KRIDOTHSAVA 2015-16
      Our Football ground is set with tracks for our Sports Day. Hence the football ground will not be available for any games today and tomorrow.

      Kridothsava 2016 - the annual sports day of the college is scheduled on 16th January 2016. All students should report to their respective class rooms by 7.50 am. Attendance will be taken in the class rooms, after which all students should be present in the college ground. Students should remain silent and disciplined during the inaugural programme. All are expected to be present for the whole day to encourage and cheer the participants. Friends and students from other colleges and neighborhood are not allowed. Students are advised not to wander in and around the vicinity of the college.

      For all UG & PG classes
      Since the First Friday of the month (January 01, 2016) and feast day of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara (January 03, 2016) happened to be holidays, the Holy Mass for the month will be celebrated today (14/01/2016) at 12-00 noon. Venue: Main Auditorium

      There will be a prayer meeting in the CMI Ashram Chapel today (14/01/2016) at 3.30 pm.

      For BA classes
      Society of Poets
      Department of English is offering a platform for the aspiring and building poets of Humanities department to supplement knowledge, provide a space for poetic inspiration, promote debates concerning poetry and reinforce pre-established poetic works. Interested students can register their names with Prof. Jithu Tom Eapen (Staff Room No. VI) today (14/01/2016) before 3.30pm

      All B.Com & BBM classes
      B.Com & BBM results are published online today (14/01/2016). Students having grievances shall report to the Controller of Examinations on or before 20/01/2016.
      Supplementary Examination results shall be announced in the next week.

      Since the First Friday of the month (Jan 01, 2016) and feast day of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara (January 03, 2016) happened to be holidays, the Holy Mass for the month is rescheduled on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 12-00 noon.

      For all UG classes
      KRIDOTHSAVA 2015-16
      There will be a March Past practice for KRIDOTHSAVA 2015-16. Students selected by their Class Animators are requested to assemble in the ground group wise with their Group Captain.

      Saturday, January 16, 2016 is Our Sports Day. Sports day is a regular working day. All students are requested to be present in the college at 7.50 am. Attendance will be taken at 8.00 am.

      Students who are interested to participate in the athletic events are requested to register their names today (13/01/2016) with their group captains.

  • January 12th

      For all UG & PG classes
      There will be a Blood Donation Camp today (12/01/2016) organized by JES (Jayantian Extension Services) in collaboration with TTK Blood Bank, Lions Blood Bank and Nimhans Hospital Blood Bank. Students are requested to actively participate in the programme and donate blood to serve the needy. Our Jayantian volunteers will come to the classrooms to escort the blood donors.

      As per the Govt. rule, both the rider and pillion rider should wear helmet from January 12, 2016. Nationwide road safety week is in progress (January 11-17, 2016). All students are advised to take special care to follow traffic rules.

      Students of II / IV and VI semester who did not report to the college on the closing day and re-opening day of Christmas Holidays should get a letter of permission from the class animator / HOD showing the number of days of absenteeism. Such students should register their names at the reception by paying Rs. 500/- per day of absenteeism and submit the duly filled leave letter form on or before 13/01/2016.

      Nrityadarpan 2016
      Nrityadarpan is an intra-collegiate dance concert organized to provide a platform for those students aspiring to showcase their dance talents. Here the students will be trained for their final program. Auditions for the students willing to be a part of the dance team will be held at 3.45 pm in the Main Auditorium on 14th January 2016. Interested students should come prepared for 2 minutes and carry their music track on a pen drive.

      Saturday, January 16, 2016 is Our Sports Day. Sports day is a regular working day. All students are requested to be present in the college at the Scheduled Time.
      * There will be a Cricket Match for the faculty members today at 4.30 pm. All are welcome.
      * Students who are interested to participate in the athletic events can register their names with their group captains on or before 13/01/2016.

      The second session of Choir Training for the academic year starts on 12th January 2016. Students interested in joining the college choir should be present today (11/01/2016) for an audition to be held at 3.45 p.m. in the Music Room (5th Floor - PG Block).

      LSRW in English
      Students who have registered their names for LSRW in English (Advanced Level) should report to Room No. 203 at 3.30 pm today (11/01/2016).

      * The First/Third and Fifth semester results of BA, B Sc. and BCA programmes are published online today.
      * Results of B Com & BBM programmes shall be published within one week.
      * Results of students who appeared for supplementary examinations shall be published within one week.

      For I & II year UG classes
      The IAS classes for the Second Phase is starting from today (07/01/2016). Students are requested to assemble in Room No. 508 by 3.30 pm.

      Jayantian Language Learning Centre calls for registration for the new batch in LSRW in English (Advanced Level) programme. Interested students can register their names on or before 7/01/2016 at the reception.

      Doctor will be available today in the college from 11.30 am at the cabin in front of the Electronics Lab (first floor, UG Block).

      All UG IV Semester classes
      As per the schedule announced in the month of December 2015 the extension credit courses for students who have not yet achieved the three extension credits will commence from today (5/01/2016).

      The venue for the extension credit courses shall be published in the college notice board today before 1:00 pm.

      Students who have registered for the courses in order to achieve the extension credits shall be present in the respective venue today at 3:40 PM for the same.

      Students who are absent for the extension credit course classes shall not be eligible for the award of credits.

      NOTE:
      Students who do not achieve these extension credits within the fourth semester shall not be promoted to the fifth semester of the UG programme.


  • January 04th

      All UG IV Semester Classes
      As per the schedule announced in the month of December 2015 the extension credit courses for students who have not yet achieved the three extension credits will commence from tomorrow (5th of January 2016).

      The venue for the extension credit courses shall be published in the college notice board tomorrow before 1:00 PM.

      Students who have registered for the courses in order to achieve the extension credits shall be present in the respective venue tomorrow at 3:40 PM for the same.

      Students who are absent for the extension credit course classes shall not be eligible for the award of credits.

      NOTE:
      Students who do not achieve these extension credits within the fourth semester shall not be promoted to the fifth semester of the UG programme.
