  • August 31st

      For all UG & PG classes
      Kristu Jayanti IAS Academy is inaugurating the IAS training course on September 01, 2016 in the Mini Auditorium – I at 3.30 pm in collaboration with Pragaya IAS Institute, Bengaluru, awell known name for producing result. All the students who have registered for the IAS training must attend the Inaugural programme.

      LSRW in English
      Students who have registered their names for English Learning programme (Beginner Level) and those who are interested to join for the programme should report to Room No. 210 in PG Block today at 3.30 pm.

      All UG classes
      Students can verify the marks uploaded in the ERP solution for the First Term Examination. In case of any discrepancy report to the Controller of Examinations along with the answer script of the First Term Examination on or before 6th September 2016.

      The Second Term Examination will be held on 17th, 19th and 20th of September 2016. Time Table and general instructions are published in the college notice boards and the college website. Students are reminded to prepare well for the Term Examination.

      Let us join together to keep our Campus clean and green. Students are requested to take special care to keep our Cafeteria neat and tidy always. Please do not throw anything on the floor. Also do take care not to leave the used paper plates and other waste materials on the staircases near the canteen or in any place where you take snacks/lunch. Deposit all waste paper/materials in the dust bins provided at different places in the campus. Please switch off the lights and fans in the class rooms when you leave the class rooms, and turn off water taps properly after use.

      All the students should enter the college gate wearing their ID cards and should wear it throughout the time they spend in the campus. If the ID card is confiscated for any reason students are advised to collect back the ID card on the same day.

      The Department of Tourism is organizing ‘Pratibimba Parva’ an intra-collegiate Kite Flying Competition on 27th September 2016 at 3.30 p.m. in connection with the World Tourism Day celebration 2016. Interested students are requested to register their names in the college reception. Entry is limited and the selection will be on first come - first – serve basis. Registration is open to all Jayantians. The winners will be rewarded with attractive prizes and trophies (2 members per team.)       The valedictory ceremony of Kalajyothi - intracollegiate literary, cultural and gospel fest of our college is scheduled today, 18th August 2016 at 3.40 p.m. in the Mini Auditorium II. Certificates will be distributed for the winners in various events of Kalajyothi. Only the students who won prizes in Kalajyothi are requested to be present for the ceremony and be seated by 3.40 p.m. in the venue.

      For final year UG classes
      There will be a Student Placement Forum meeting today (18/08/2016) for the SPF members of UG at 3.30 p.m. in the CECR Office. All those students who had given their names to be a part of the SPF for the academic year 2016-17 are requested to be present for the meeting. This meeting is with regard to the registration of Gate 2017 and the registration for pre placement talk by EY.

      End Semester Examination
      Schedule for the odd semester examination fee collection will start from 17th August 2016 for all the programmes. Fee details and schedule of payment are displayed on the notice board and college website.
      Students should remain in the respective classes and should proceed for payment of fees only after intimation from the office.
      NB:-
      Payment of examination Fee is not a guarantee that student will be allowed to write the examination. A student will be allowed to write the examination only if:
      Student should have minimum 85% attendance for each course at the end of the semester. Principal should be satisfied with the general behavior of the student.
      Students who do not apply for the end semester examination by paying the examination fee will not be eligible for promotion to the next semester.

      Only for I Semester
      Only those students who have submitted their original documents related to approval of admission are eligible to pay the examination fee.

Students failing to achieve these extension credits shall have "Reappear" status in their fifth semester marks card and hence shall not be eligible for the award of degree certificate.

      The Department of Library & Information Centre is organizing a Book Exhibition on August 10 and 11, 2016 in the College Main Auditorium, First floor from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. In this Exhibition more than 15 Publishers & Vendors will be exhibiting with lots of new titles of all the subjects. Hence, please participate & make the extent use of it. You can also suggest the books for the library. Your participation shall be greatly appreciated.

      Independence Day celebration in Kristu Jayanti College
      On the occasion of Independence Day, the Jayantian Extension Services (CSA, NSS & NCC) volunteers are visiting Infant Jesus Home & Home of Hope - an orphanage which is located in Kothanur & Dodda Gubbi. As a sign of our help, we have planned to provide the basic materials like groceries, medicines and new and usable clean old clothes etc., so we request you to contribute generously when volunteers come to collect on 11th, 12th and 13th August 2016. Interested students can join on 15th August at 8.00 a.m. New and old clothes can be placed in the box kept near Main Block Reception.

      From 10th to 12th August, 2016 there will be practice for players who are in College Throwball team for XLR8 tournament which will be held on 13th August, 2016.

      Details regarding the Extension Activity Credit (3 Credits) courses are published in the college and examination office notice boards. Students should register for the courses offered by the respective department on or before 13th August 2016. Students failing to achieve these extension credits shall have "Reappear" status in their fifth semester marks card and hence shall not be eligible for the award of degree certificate.

      As it was circulated, our college plans to start Incubation Center which will be the hub to congregate, share, build and take to the market our best ideas.

      Kristu Jayanti Incubation Center (KJIC) in collaboration with Sherpify will provide the facilities, connections with industry experts, seed investors and other support that a budding entrepreneur would need to build a business. We believe that the Incubation Center will significantly enhance the learning and working experiences of Jayantians.

      Please express your interest in being a part of the first set of participants in the Kristu Jayanti Incubation Center by filling in this short application form and check our college website under "News and Events".

      Students who are interested to enroll and wanted to join incubation center are requested to attend the meeting in classroom 202 UG Block today (11/08/2016) at 4:30 p.m.

      The Literary and Cultural Association of the college is organizing Certificate Course in Instrumental Music – Guitar. The classes will begin from 11th August from 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. in the Music Room – 5th floor, PG block. Interested students should register in the Reception (Main Block) by paying the monthly fee of Rs. 500/- on or before 10th August, 2016.       All UG Classes
      As the First Term Examination commences tomorrow (6th August 2016) there will not be any regular classes today during afternoon session. Students are reminded to prepare well for the First Term Examination. Students are once again reminded to read the instructions regarding the First Term Examination which is already published in the college notice boards and the college website.

      Students should bring college ID card and hall ticket for the First Term Examination
      Reporting Time in the Examination Hall:
      9:15 a.m. for Morning Session
      1:45 p.m. for Afternoon Session

      UG III Semester Classes Only
      Details regarding the Extension Activity Credit (3 Credits) courses are published in the college and examination office notice boards. Students should register for the courses offered by the respective department on or before 13th August 2016. Students failing to achieve these extension credits shall have "Reappear" status in their fifth semester marks card and hence shall not be eligible for the award of degree certificate.

The classes will begin from 11th August from 4.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. in the Music Room – 5th floor, PG block.
