  • February 26th

      For all UG classes
      UG second term examination will be held on 27th February & 2nd and 3rd of March 2015. Time table for the same is published in the college website and notice boards for your reference. Students are reminded to prepare well for the second term examination.
      The seating arrangement for the second term examination will be available in the college website today, 26th February 2015.

      There will not be regular classes today afternoon. Students are reminded to prepare well for the mid term examination.

      For all PG classes (except MBA)
      PG mid term examination will be held on 27th February & 2nd and 3rd of March 2015. Time table for the same is published in the college website and notice boards for your reference. The seating arrangement for the mid term examination will be available in the college website today, 26th February 2015.

      Tentative date for re-opening of classes III and V semester for the academic year 2015-16 is June 25, 2015.

      1.'Samavarthana' Graduation Day for VI semester UG - 13th March 2015(forenoon).
      2.'Sargotsav' - Intracollegiate literary and cultural fest for PG students - 13th March 2015(afternoon).
      3. College Day - 14th March 2015.
      Variety Entertainment Programmes are invited from students to showcase on the College Day. The maximum time limit for each programme is 5 minutes only. Interested students may register their names and programmes in the reception. Registrations will close on 26th February 2015. Auditions for the registered programmes will be held on 06th March 2015.

      KRISTU JAYANTI SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME (KJSS) (UG PROGRAMMES)
      KJSS aims to recognize the students who are outstanding in academics and co-curricular & extra-curricular activities and to assist the students who are from financially backward. KJSS has three broad categories.
      a.Jayantian Achievement Grant (JAG)
      b.Jayantian Talent Scholarship (JTS)
      c.Jayantian Upliftment Shcolarship (JUS)
      The details are provided on the college notice board. Eligible students can obtain the application form from Counter No. 1 (UG Office) and the students are expected to submit the filled in form along with the supporting documents in the same counter on or before February 27, 2015, 04.00 pm.

      There will be a NSS meeting for all the NSS volunteers today (23/02/2015) at 03.30 pm in Room no. 301. All the volunteers are requested to attend the same.

      * The date for paying the examination fee and filling up the examination OMR sheet in the college office are provided on the college notice board.
      * Students who are appearing for supplementary examinations should pay the supplementary examination fees along with the regular semester examination fees.
      * As per the University Notification all the Final Semester students should pay Convocation Degree Certificate fee along with the examination fee.
      * All the Final Semester students should pay the Alumni Fees of Rs. 200/- and internal examination answer booklet fee (Two semesters) of Rs. 200/- along with the University examination fee.
      * All the final year students should have minimum required percentage of attendance to be eligible to participate in the graduation day ceremony.
      * VI semester students are hereby informed that they should attend the classes regularly and study well. If they don't get the minimum percentage of attendance towards the end of the semester, they will have to repeat the semester in any other college next year. Moreover, if they fail in any of the examinations in the VI semester, or any supplementary examinations for II and IV semester they have to write the examination in some other college in Bangalore University because we may not have a centre for examination for University syllabus.

      Basics of LSRW in English (for all UG classes)
      Students who have registered their names and paid their fees for the language training programme - 'Basics of LSRW in English' should report to Room No. 205 in PG block today at 02.35 pm for the session.

  • February 12th

      Department of Management is organizing an exhibition titled 'SAVISHKAR', on various concepts of management and business, on 12th February 2015 (today) at Main Auditorium from 10.30 am. Students are invited to visit the exhibition and make the best utilization of opportunity.

      Change in Calendar of Events
      Please note a change in the calendar in February 2015. Second Saturday, February 14, 2015 will be a regular working day and Saturday, February 28, 2015 will be a holiday.

      Parent - Teachers' Meet will be held on February 14, 2015, Saturday at 02.30 pm. All students are requested to inform their parent about the meet.

Students are hereby instructed not to whistle or misbehave anytime during the event. Entry is restricted only to Jayantians and registered participants from other colleges. Attendance will be taken at 09.00 a.m. in the respective classroom.

It is a working day and attendance will be taken at 09.00 a.m. Jayantians are welcome to watch the event and encourage the participants. It is a day for Jayantians to exhibit their discipline, decorum, organizing and event management abilities. Entry is restricted only to Jayantians and registered participants from other colleges.

      First Term Examination marks are available for reference online. Students are requested to verify the same and report to the Controller of Examinations in case of any greivence on or before 10th February 2015.

      * There will be a meeting for the Jayantian Ambassadors at 02.45 p.m. today in room 302.

      II & IV semester BBM / B Com.
      * Defaulters of examination fees can pay with fine of Rs. 100/- on the below mentioned dates.

      NB:- Students who do not apply for the end semester examination by paying the Examination fee shall not be promoted to the next semester.

      Certificate course in Guitar (For all UG & PG classes)
      * Guitar certification course for this semester will commence today, 03rd February 2015. The details are put up on the notice board. Interested students may join the course by remitting the course fee for the first month (Rs. 500) at the college reception. Students who successfully complete the course will be awarded credits.

      The photocopy center and stationery store is shifted to the new cafeteria in the basement. Students can utilize the facility provided.
